The "World of Heroes" DC RPG Season IV Signup/OOC Thread

Spike, I hope you don't mind the slight bunny. I thought that the big gaping hole in continuity was that The President would enver agree to giving Gotham City over to a bunch of psychos like us unless he was being influenced by someone. And I thought it would be a nice touch if Lex Luthor was basically pulling the strings of a lame-duck Presidency. I hope you don't mind - it could be something you could build on in future posts.

And yes, The Joker and co are now OFFICIALLY running Gotham City. And stopping us isn't going to be as easy as arresting us and throwing us into Arkham, as, by the authority of The President, we not only control the police, but Arkham as well. :joker:

I don't mind at all. It accomplishes Lex's goal of having a lock on Gotham and he probably would have done everything he could to make sure that Gotham remained open for business.

Wait, so Joker, Black Mask, Two-Face, and Penguin have completely taken over Gotham?

...

Dude, Bats is going to be SO pissed about this, it won't be funny. Expect to be in Gotham for a while, Outsiders. You guys and I are going to find every single part of this corrupt government and completely and utterly destroy it. :o

Pfft... Like you'll be able to stop us. :o

...

Oh... Wait... you're Batman. Damn it. :(

I know this is going to sound kind of random, but can anyone give me the title of a comic story or an individual issue of a comic where Superman uses his telescopic and/or microscopic visions? I am surprisingly lacking. :(

I need to cite my work for an essay I'm writing.

I'il have a think about that Spike, nothing really comes to mind at the moment.

OK guys, now you can go blow things up! :D

EDIT:

(Edited my last post slightly to match Batman's one. All I really did was get rid of Beetle's version of the attack plan. They were basically the same anyway, except Blue Beetle was going to watch the Question's back.)

He uses his mircroscopic at the end of Batman #619. That's all I know of.

I don't know who you are, but.. uh... thanks a lot.

Anyone know of any examples of his telescopic vision?

...That was me. I forgot to log out of that account before I posted. Sorry for the confusion. :o

Superman used his microscopic vision near the beginning of Green Arrow. He notices microscopic particles on his cape.

He uses his telescopic vision in JLA/JSA: Virtue and Vice when he and Alan Scott are floating in space, looking down on Earth. Using his telescopic vision with his super-hearing, he can make out what's happening all over the planet. He used that same trick a few times in JLA when Waid was writing, too.

He also used his microscopic vision in the Ultramarines arc of JLA when he saw that their cells were breaking down, or what not.

If I recall correctly, Superman used his telescopic vision in a Batman issue...sorry, can't remember which specifically, but it was during the No Man's Land arc...to watch Huntress's back while she fought a bunch of thugs in Gotham. Superman was in space at the time.

I believe that was a JLA issue. Huntress had asked why the League didn't have anyone helping in Gotham, and at the end of the issue Superman basically says that Huntress is the League's way of helping in Gotham.

Well, that's it for me as McCulloch. :)

It was fun, but it's time to move on. Hopefully, if anyone plays one of the main Rogues I used in the future they can pick up where I left off with the creation of the new Rogues organization. I'd definitely like to see a fresh take on it.

So, who're you going to play as next, JB?

SHAZAM!

Screen Name: Johnny Blaze

Character you would like to play: General Wade Eiling

Powers: General Eiling is a seasoned military officer and is highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat, battlefield tactics, and espionage, among other things.
In the body of the Shaggy Man, Eiling is as strong as the Man of Steel and may be stronger (he has tossed Orion around like a rag doll, and the new god is on par with Superman in terms of strength). His other physical attributes, such as speed and agility, have been increased to super human levels as well. In the body of the Shaggy Man, Eiling has no need for sleep, food, or oxygen, and feels no pain. The General also possess a near inexhaustible stamina, but his greatest power is the ability to regenerate from any injury no matter how severe (from losing an arm, to losing his head, to getting chopped in two, or being reduced to a puddle of goo).

Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): US Military

Three reasons why you have chosen that character: I love villains, and he’s an awesome one. I was a big fan of Morrison’s JLA run, and plan on taking him from the regular military officer to the monstrous behemoth he became. Did I mention I love villains? :D

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: I bring an experience in roleplaying, both online and tabletop. And I am bringing a great villain into this RPG that will be a foil to all.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as need be, life permitting.

Color and font you plan on using for your characters speech (Might not be applicable but it makes the roster pretty): Dark Green color, Georgia font, and bold

How did you find out about this game, Recruitment thread/word of post/seeing the RPG OOC/IC thread: I’ve been a member for the past few seasons.

I believe you're right.

JB, sorry to see you're dropping Mirror Master. It was great destroying cities with you. :D

Well, in the spirit of things, I guess I should let you guys know, I'll be dropping Zoom after this fight with Flash is over. But fear not, HV fans! I'll be back as a...mystery man...well shoot, everyone else was doing it, and it looked like fun! Twy, Corp, and Spike already know who I'm playing as after Zoom, so I'll post my app under the "Mystery Man" moniker and hopefully I can get accepted with that.

DC RPG Season IV Application:

Screen Name: Hyper Venom

Character you would like to play: It's a secret (though you'll probably be able to figure it out by reading the rest of this app)

Powers: Immortality, or at least, extremely resillient mortality. Incredible armed and unarmed fighting skills, armed with several melee and long-range weapons. Extremely intelligent.

Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): The Society

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. In my opinion, he's the most dangerous man in the DC Universe.

2. He can fight just about anybody.

3. I want to give someone else a chance to play Zoom.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG:

I don't have to, kids. One of the GMs is in love with me, and that's all I need to get excepted. Right, Twy? :D

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: At least five

Color and font you plan on using for your characters speech (Might not be applicable but it makes the roster pretty): I'm partial for Navy.

How did you find out about this game, Recruitment thread/word of post/seeing the RPG OOC/IC thread? Everybody's got the link in their sig.
