Character you would like to play:Kilowog

Powers: Kilowog is a member of the Green Lantern Corp and possesess the GL power ring, the most powerful weapon in the universe. The ring will do and create whatever the user wills it to do. It's only limitation is the willpower of the user. (And yellow, but I don't think they habe that problem anymore.)

Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): The Green Lantern Corps

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) Kilowog is one of the old time and most beloved Green Lanterns

2) He's a heavy hitter in the DC Universe

3) I love the Green Lanterns

I want to bring Kilowog in to beef up the Green Lantern Corp currently on Earth, and just have some good old fashioned fun. If the situation calls for it, he can also be the GL's "secret weapon."

Through joining the Marvel RPG over a year agi

Kilowog smiled. He took great pride in training the recruits, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't take at least some kind of joy from being able to toss them around and rough them up. If they wanted to be the protectors of the universe, they had to start learning to take the hard knocks early.

This was a pretty decent looking class. Half dozen students, split even with 3 males and three females.

He stood quietly in front of them, his massive shadow washing over the recruits and giving him the aurora of something larger than life.

"OK, ya little poozers," he finally said, his deep gruff voice resounding through the chamber, and causing no less than four of the recruits to shudder. "Yer here becuz the Guardians feel yer the best of the best. You've been deemed worthy to train with me, the man who taught Hal Jordan everything he knows. You've all heard of Hal Jordan?"

The students nodded, uttering not a word.

"Good, but I'll warn ya now. Most of those stories are way over exaggerated," he smirked, not letting up a chance to get a dif in at one of his best friends, even if he wasn't here to hear it.

"Now, this training in long, hard, and yer goin' to hurt. A lot. Everyday. But you get through this alive, and there aint nothin' in the universe you can't handle. I don;t think you'll have any problem though. In all the time I've been doing this though, I've only had three recruit drop over dead. And we're pretty sure two of them were for unrelated reasons."

He loved that joke. He loved the horrified looks of the students even more.

Kilowog stepped forward and cracked his knuckles.

"Shall we begin."

I described its effects in one of my posts a few weeks ago. Essentially, it's a viral infection that directly attacks the nervous system, and has a biological ability to destroy white blood cells that try to stop it. It's also incredibly fast acting, and has managed to kill hundreds of thousands in Metropolis in only a few days.

It's also incredibly fast acting, and has managed to kill hundreds of thousands in Metropolis in only a few days.

Yet it had very different affects on Luthor.

Meh, just say it has slightly different effects on different people because of mutations. And as fast acting as this virus is, having it mutate like crazy to avoid typical cures/vaccines makes sense. Without meaning to, I've sort of backed that idea up with my posts about the virus fighting against Sinestro, and since it has to adapt to immune systems anyway...

Luthor being the human componet for Superboy makes a lot more sense when you realize that Lex was already a clone himself when Superboy was created.

Or you two can keep arguing, that's fine too.

But if you're willing to settle with my solution, spare me the trouble of looking for it and let me know how the virus affected Luthor so maybe I could have Conner react in a similar way.

Lex also has peak human physical fitness, so maybe that could affect his reaction to the virus as well.

Any who LT and I discussed this and there seems to be some confusion over the virus, which is in part my fault for never giving a definite account of it.

So to the best of mine, as always its subject to change.

The Genesis Strain Virus (named by Corp)

Symptoms and affects: Severe sweating and dehydration followed later by convolutions of the heart which lead to a heart attack.

How do you get infected? The virus enters the body by either consumption of the Metropolises water supply or being in close proximity with someone infected. Note: while the virus still works at an accelerated rate, it takes slightly longer than it did with Luthor because the virus has been watered down from being mixed with water.

How does the virus work? The virus works by black cells attacking the bodies the red blood cells thus limiting the blood that can get to the heart, which means the has to heart pump faster and faster with little blood. The black cells also eliminate the white bloods cells so there’s nothing to fend off the virus and the body begins to break down. The virus can also mutant to affect other humanoid species like Korugarians.

I hope this clears things up.

Why did you single out Korugarians?

I'm gonna take liberty and say that since Dinah was split into two seperate alternate realities the virus doesn't effect her..
