Although, technically, Sinestro isn't a hero.

I don't think that's how it works. Rudy absorbs energy and converts it into physical power. Really, Kryptonite (or any radioactive substance for that matter) would make him stronger.

Pre crisis got the good with the bad. And I know Rudy was defeated when he absorbed Supes while he had kryptonite poisoning.

So he doesn't get the good with the bad anymore?

No, actually the Kryptonite would just be another form of energy that the Parasite would absorb. Moreoever, Oan rings can't create Kryptonite.

* Finite power source, but no longer limited to 24 hours. Kyle Rayner's ring was the first ring to absorb more power than originally thought, having stored the main power battery's energy following its explosion on Oa.
* Force field generation
* Radiation simulation, including Kryptonite
* Upon death of the wielder, the ring automatically looks for a replacement.


Oh and Kyle did it during "Superman : King of the World" Post Crisis.

That's the fun thing about Rudy. He's the type of guy who'd go to a bar, get drunk off of his ass, and tell the biggest, meanest, scarriest guy in the bar that he's a flamming homo just to start a fight. Of course, with his powers, he can punch a hole through that guy's chest without even trying.
