"The Worst Marvel Cover-Art Ever" Award Nominations

At the time, there was nothing wrong with this cover. But, as I've said in two other threads in the past after I bought a Marvel Two-In-One collection on ebay last year, the cover just creeped me out.

Not the worst covers ever....but, every time Marvel brings him back to do a cover, a shiver goes down my spine whenever I see it.

I like Deadpool's 40-yr-old soccer-mom-esque fupa. :whatever:

I'm nominating Uncanny X-Men 147, featuring "Rogue Storm" in a misleading (and poorly drawn) "dark phoenix" style stance (only 10 issues after the original death of Jean Grey). The cover caption reads, "Dare we do it again?" In the issue, Storm goes a little nutty due to her claustrophibia, but it's nothing remotely comparable to becoming Dark Phoenix. Lots of comics have so-so art, but this cover was also needlessly sensational (and not in a fun way like some of those Silver Age Superman or Flash "It was all just a dream" covers), and in poor taste given the importance of X-Men 137 to the comics world at the time.

I think they should never used photos for a comic cover (and, it always seem to be women):

I don't know. I kinda liked this one that I'm showing.. I guess the issue had something to do with it...

Unless, of course, that was painted. Not sure.

the art in the new Blade book is EFFIN terrible.-------whoops, lil quick on the draw. The New Blade covers are actually pretty sweet, its the pages that suck.

Totally off-topic...
CerealKiller, your avatar is awesome. Alk3 controls my universe. Can't wait for Remains.

I nominate an X-Men turbulence cover. Got this issue in a 25 cent comic bin, and trust me....the artwork doesn't get any better on the inside if that says anything. Apparently "The most artists ever on one title" isn't a good thing.

Here you go, if you want to sell a book, the first thing you should put on it is a Goblin head that looks like it's melting.

I nominate ANYTHING by Mark Bagly, 99.9% of covers by Mike Deodato Jr. and ANY covers done by Ron Garney.

...Yyyeah.

I know it's cheap to bring in Liefeld but that arm...

Careful with your hotlinks!---Drak

Why the **** do you guys feel the need to quote the ****?!!!?

Sav, you gotta be REALLLLLLLLLLLLY careful where you hotlink things from. A lot of places consider that to be "Bandwith Theft" and have it so that you get gross images, like gay elderly porn, instead of you want to show.

And for the love of god-DON'T QUOTE IT!

Ya pretty much any art work done by Humberto Ramos is awful well my least favorite is Wolverine #43.(sorry no pic)

No harm, no foul, but think about it. "Ew! This is so gross my eyes are melting! Let me quote it 251546548465484564 times so that it takes longer to erase!"

See the flaw in the logic?
