Worst Marvel Comic You Ever Read?

I cant believe how hard my comic book store guy was peddling that filth to me.

I can't believe kirkman can be writing something as good as ant-man/invincible yet be writing garbage like his ultimate x-men run at the same time :(

Yeah, I know Kirkman is a big 90's character fan but Ultimate Cable being introduced seemed like an act of desperation.

It just seems pointless to me though. The whole thing with cable though was
a) son of two of the most powerfull mutants of all time
b)incredibly powerful himself not just some ***** with a load of james bond gadgets
c)A NEW CHARACTER!

Wolverine will probably live forver and sit by god's deathbed etc and we as comic fans accept this. It's sad but it's true. So why the **** do we need to have 2 ****ing wolverines in one book? What is the point. Plus this is all playing into the lame "is xavier evil or not" subplot which has just been pointless crapping on an otherwise interesting character. ****! :cmad:

Sins Past decimated the character of Gwen Stacy and drop kicked Norman Osborn...

Other decimated 40 years of Spider-man history...

...I beg to differ on your assessment :)

Edited to add....and as bad as SP was, and it was, there was actually strong dialogue sprinkled about.....the "Other" had nothing!!
So you prefer a well written character assassination story that destroys 40 years of history to a bad written story with no purpose, and changed nothing. I must admit by those statements its hard to determine the lesser of two evils, but Sins Past drastically retconned the death of Gwen Stacy.
Faults of Sins Past-
The "why she was targeted" changes from Norman tormenting Peter to Norman getting revenge on his babies momma. And know Spiderman goes from "Argg, its my fault she died. I promise to do better and always have this memorie to remind me that with great power comes great responsibility." to "Oh, well he only targeted you because you hid his kids from him. Pfft, thats not my fault". Also, now MJ's a lying idiot, and Gwens a ****. Also, another damn unneccessary Goblin is created. Honestly, how many of them are there now? Thats all I can think of for now.

faults of the other-
-well, first and foremost the whole spidergod thing seems to be shoved in our face more than usual.
-Morlun was the main badguy.
That was a bad idea, since no one cares about him. He and Hush can go take the 666 bus to losersville and rot for all I care.
- Spiderman ate a guys head. Spiderman gained stingers...Yeah, nice one marvel. Give a power like that to a guy who doesn't kill people. Also, now he can see in the dark, but I'm sure his spidersense more than makes that power a bit useless. Also, now he can do stuff that he already could do. Great!:whatever:
-He didn't seem to improve to me. I mean, wasn't he suppose to evolve. Maybe move faster, lift more than 15 tons?
-Also, Nothing was explained like: How did Morlun return? Why was Spiderman dying? Who was that thing that was created from Peters shedded skin?
-Lastly,Why doesn't Peter care about the answer to these questions more?

So by comparing the faults of both stories which do you think is worse now?

How did the "Other" change nothing?....it changed everything.....it was the ultimate retcon starting from the actual day Pete was bitten.....don't get me wrong, I find both arcs to be vile....i just think "Other" is worse

No, the spidergod thing was introduced well before The Other showed its retched head. All the other did was advance upon that retcon.

Dumb, this argument is dumb. The Other and Sins Past both sucked equally as hard. End of discussion.

Yeah, I'll put the Other and Sins Past at the top of my "worst comics" list.

I stopped reading Ultimate X-Men shortly after they killed beast...that's just wrong.

Ant-Man rules, BTW (I guess my avatar sorta gave that away)

Personally, I hated Marvels, The Draco, Runaways, and Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run (Well, everything after the first arc...)

they just didnt do it for me
BLASPHEMY! *Throws holy water at Swordmaster* You take it back before Stan Lee smites your testicles!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Spectacular Spider-Man #226. Not only did it reveal that Peter Parker was a clone, meaning the Spider-Man people had been reading about for 20 years was a fake, but it also featured Peter backhanding a pregnant Mary Jane.

Ultimate Deadpool. Way to turn the Merc with a Mouth into a racist ******* Marvel.

Not cool

The ultimate X-men issues with Deadpool... As a huge Deadpool fan I expected... Well a decent character, not a clone of the 616 deadpool but something thats interesting and good (I don't read UXM but I picked up the comics with UDP because DP doesn't get enough books as it is) Kill him and end the pain already!!! Wheres the 4th wall humor? Where's the moron we all love? Shouldn't have expected much from UXM anyway but still ...

Disassembled and The Other.

Worst event: House of M

Worst creative run: Complete tie between Peter Milligan's X-Men and Chris Claremont's Excalibur (2004)

Worst arc: Sins Past by JMS

Worst single issue: X-Men: Deadly Genesis #5.

Worst graphic novel: Ultimate War

Basicaly ALL the MTU (Marvel Team Up) 2005 series, i mean, i didnt really like the old ones but these.... they are just bad... there is too many of them....

Worst than Austen's ****ty ****e, werewolf mutants, exploding wafers, underage sex infront of the parents,Lorna now a child of magneto, Nightcrawler a son of the devil run????????
