It was bad but compared to Hogan's other films, it's high art. Christopher LLoyd was in it so it had it moments via his talent. Mr. Nanny and Santa with Muscles are both on IMBD's bottom 100 all time movies.

LOL! Hogan was also in a 3 Ninja's movie. I haven't been in masochistic mood lately so I've never taken the time to view it. I hear it's also a total dud.

actually, I am holding my copy of the holiday special right now.

I loved it, when I was about six or seven. And that's all that matters..I liked how it shows the wookie planet and how it had all the original actors. Of course if you compare it to a movie of today it doesn't even compare..because it wasn't a movie, it was a tv special to be seen only once..and it was hella fun to watch it during the holidays.

But if you compare it to another holiday special..see if you can name another? the star wars holiday special is the best TV special of all time.

Fascist, how many times have you seen the SWHS? I wonder? because I've seen it about 25 times and I love it and that's the honest truth! Like I said, the average viewer that night was a 7 year old.

I think it was very well done, for the kids..It was way better than what you saw on TV in those days..But maybe you weren't there to remember those horrid 70's shows.

I couldn't even finish the Holiday Special. Even if I was 7, or had an IQ of 7, I wouldn't like it.

I am a huge SW fan myself, but that doesn't mean I like everything Lucas puts (or sometimes craps) out. In fact, I am highly critical of him, his methods, his greed, and his hypocrisy.

Because at least the MST3K movies have something tempering their suckitude. They're movies so bad that they're enjoyable.
