^^ sigh........it's a by product of our "entitlement" society.

everyone (well not everyone, but you know what I mean ) thinks they're entitled to something and they don't think to treat others with respect.

ironically, those same people love to cry foul when they get treated rudely or disrespected..........

That was one lameass letdown of a Raw.

The best parts were seeing some familiar faces and The main event. The DX reunion was fun. Mostly because of HBK and Billy Gunn.

Lita looks in wrestling shape. Legends segment as ok. Always cool to hear the LOD theme and see the APA. Nice to see Dude Love. Heyman was awesome later on. The 6 man tag was ok. They should bring Mooney back full time to replace some of the people around now.

Otherwise it didn't live up to the hype. They ****ing WASTE Roddy ****ing Piper chasing an imaginary character? Terrible. Takers appearance with Kane seemed to be more obligatory than well done.

They WASTE Bret Hart just ring announcing? Why not let him ref the match and let Miz get some heat off putting his win in Brets face considering their history?

Why did we need a damn game segment? they padded the **** out of this show.

Where was Austin? Where was the huge shocking name that was rumored to return? If it was Stephanie McMahon or Vince I'm disappointed.

I don't give a *** about Tout. Man if every Raw is going to be three hours and do that kind of stuff to pad it we are in for some mediocre shows. With all the stuff they had going on last night and STILL delivering a "meh" episode I'm not sure how they can make most three hour Raws any good.
I love AJ and she and Bryan were both awesome last night but AJ as GM? Huge letdown. Vince is a little too obsessed with the AJ stuff now.

I hope Haitch stroking his ego means Lesnar kicks his a**. Doubt it though.
Fine with the Punk heel turn but if its to feed him to Rock or Cena that blows. If they give Cena the title to feed him to Rock that blows.

Austin wasn't able to get out of shooting Grown Ups 2. He doesn't have the Hollywood clout that the Rock has to take a day off from shooting a movie.

I'm curious if it had more to do with pay. TNA has been known to lowball their talents when they come up for contract renewals and offer them crappy deals.

She may be unhappy, but if it is about her role on tv that is silly since she is still one of the most prominently featured women on the roster. They even decided to use her in a music video. I would hope she's not the type to be pissed because she's not the champion and had to drop to Kim, who revitalized the division.

I'd be curious if she left what would happen with her. WWE is not short of hot women on an already full divas roster, and velvet doesn't stand out in the ring or mic. She's unique looking in that pornstar hot way, but I do not know if WWE would go for that in their PG world.

EDIT: I just saw this on www.Prowrestling.net in regards to Velvet and other talents...

TNA News: Top Knockout may be leaving
Jul 24, 2012 - 10:03 AM

Dot Net can confirm reports that Velvet Sky appears to be on the verge of leaving the company due to a contractual dispute.

Powell's POV:
This is not a case of the company simply lowballing the Knockouts. Rather, talent relations head Bruce Prichard is said to be asking a number of wrestlers to restructure their contracts. A well-placed source notes that some wrestlers who have time remaining on their deals are among those who have been asked to restructure.

In some cases, talent have raises built into their multi-year deals, yet are being asked to restructure. The source stated that some wrestlers feel as though they are being presented with "take it or leave it" type offers. I don't believe Sky fits into the restructured deal category, though, as it appears her contract is on the verge of expiring. She has indicated to colleagues that she's not pleased with the direction of the negotiations. Of course, negotiations could take a turn for the better, but for now it appears as though she is on the verge of leaving the company.

She'd be a nice addition to Shimmer, provided she's not already there. Mexico could use her.

According to sources within WWE, the buzz coming from the locker room last night was that Steve Austin was not at Raw 1,000 because he is currently filming "Grown Ups 2" starring Adam Sandler.

Sources added, however, that Austin is currently upset with WWE due to the lack of promotion the company has given to his new show "Redneck Island." The feeling is that WWE went out of its way to promote Shawn Michaels' reality show when it debuted, but up to this point has done little to nothing at all to promote Austin's show.

In return, it's being said Austin put little effort into adjusting his shooting schedule so that he could make an appearance at Raw 1,000.

Probably a combo of pay and not being used as much. But they might not be using her as much because they are waiting to see if she re signs. TNA should try to keep her simply because of how over she is. She's not the best wrestler but she's easily the second most popular woman in the whole company. She works hard.

As far as her side she should be patient. Not enough tv time for everybody. She'll get the spotlight again soon enough. If WWE did show interest (I doubt they are) she should consider it. The window for women to make big money in the business is far smaller than the one for men.

FAN INCIDENT PRIOR TO RAW 1000
by Mike Johnson @ 10:58 AM on 7/24/2012

One of the main topics of conversation among wrestlers last night before Raw 1000 was an incident involving WWE champion CM Punk at the St. Louis airport.

According to several, there was a fan that Punk refused to sign for due to the way he approached Punk. The story making the rounds was the same fan had approached Punk in a similar fashion before, which led to Punk turning his requests down immediately and bluntly.

After Punk's refusal, the fan and possibly a second person became verbally abusive towards Punk and according to one source, loudly made a threat. Given it was so soon after the incident in Aurora, CO, a number of airport security soon descended upon the scene.

Punk and other WWE personalities who were arriving at the same time, including Ricardo Rodriguez, all stopped signing and taking photos. You can imagine the response from fans, some of whom were waiting for hours, to that happening.

Both Punk and Ricardo took to Twitter, noting that one bad fan ruins it for everyone. Punk actually apologized to everyone while Ricardo noted that some fans can go immediately into "creepy mode" very quickly.

One source believed that the fan had been identified and WWE security was going to try and find him and warn him about his behavior, although whether they were able to do so in an arena the size of The Scottrade Center, I can't confirm.

In speaking to a few WWE wrestlers this morning, they noted that it's not unusual for fans to be waiting for them when they arrive at airports or even be waiting (one wrestler described it as "stalking") in the early AM when the WWE crews are preparing to check in for flights. For the most part, they take it as part of the business and if fans are polite and aren't pushy, they will sign within reason.

The issue, according to several, is when fans assume that they are deserved to get something signed, especially when they walk up while a wrestler is getting out of a car, waiting to check in, going through security, eating, etc. At that point, it becomes a nuisance and without proper security trailing the talents, it then becomes a situation where they don't know how someone will react.

"Imagine being up at 430 AM to be on a 630 AM flight," one WWE performer who did not witness the incident said. "You have to return the rental car, take the shuttle, get through security, check in, find the gate, and until the second you are on the plane, there are going to be people along the way you say, 'excuse me', grab you for a photo, stop you from eating your bagel, want to talk to you, sometimes want to be mad at you for what happened on TV, want you to sign a stack of photos, pose for 25 pictures, etc. It's part of the job, sure, and who's going to turn down a little kid?"

"However," said the talent, "when it's the same fan you see every time you are in whatever city, you start to realize who's there for Ebay sales and who's there because they have nothing else in their life. When it's a choice of five minutes to sip some coffee or a fan saying, "Sign this" as a demand, and trust me, there are demands like that every day, you want to rip up the photo and toss it back at them for being rude, but then what will happen is that 10 seconds of cell phone footage ends up on TMZ and you are the person yelled at by the company. I've seen on Twitter where I was an a***ole to fans, but the reality was I was rushing to get home to catch a redeye flight to see my family and sorry, I'm not going to spent a night overnight when I can be there when my family wakes up. If that means I am a jerk, then, well, sorry."

The same performer explained the frustration, noting, "We, and by this I mean everyone, not just wrestlers, have to get through their day. We do it in a fish bowl where everyone sees us, sadly, as some walking zoo exhibit that they can interact with. There's good and bad to that. The bad is we interact with fans who end up being complete pieces of sh** to exhausted, tired people that just wants to go sleep on a plane and get home to rest their aching body. If anyone saw what we went through for a week, they'd understand how demeaning some of the fans can be. Please note I said some because in every city there are some really nice people who just love wrestling and want to be near us. That's great but again, there has to be a time and place. When a fan crosses the line, we have to assume someone else can do that as well. So now, we have to go through all the 3:30 AM stuff at the airport, with our own safety in the back of our heads. It's enough to drive anyone batty, much less a tired, banged up wrestler."

Obviously the moral of the story here is that if you, as a fan, are going to approach someone for a photo or autograph, do it with politeness and judge whether it's fair to bother them at that moment. I remember a WWE talent telling me years ago (we are talking height of Attitude era) about taking his family to Disneyland and taking his daughter from their rental car and putting her in the stroller in a parking lot. By the time he was done, there were five people waiting to ask for a photo. Imagine the ridiculousness of a father wanting to hang out with his children and before they are out of the parking lot, fans have descended upon them.

Think before you ask folks. Politeness gets you everywhere in a scenario like the one the wrestler was speaking of.

Some fans DO think they are owed something. Disgusting. These wrestlers are people and not around for our gratification 24/7. They don't owe us every waking minute of their lives.

I think the WWE should take a chance and try Velvet Sky on a short term basis, so how she works out with the current divas roaster.

STEVE AUSTIN WAS NOT AT RAW BECAUSE.....
by Dave Scherer @ 12:23 PM on 7/24/2012

Steve Austin posted the following on his website:RAW 1,000 And Why Stone Cold Steve Austin Wasn’t There

On July 23, 2012 WWE celebrated the 1,oooth episode of Monday Night Raw. I watched the show from my home in Los Angeles. After watching the show, I got on my Twitter account, @steveaustinBSR, to read responses to the show. There were many people blaming Vince McMahon and the WWE for not having SCSA on the show. And there were some folks who had some very negative things to say about me, personally.

The reason I did not attend RAW 1,000 was because I underwent a major knee surgery on my left knee on July 2, 2012. Dr. Neal ElAttrache of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, CA performed the surgery.

The surgery was a complete success. I am currently three weeks post op. I began physical therapy a few days ago. I had a world class surgeon and a great medical team working on me. I am now working with a top notch PT team. I am still on crutches and will probably lose the crutches in another week. Then I will be in a custom knee brace much like the braces I wore in the ring for 9-12 weeks.

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN IS A 100% ASS KICKING MACHINE. There was no way I was going to limp down the ramp on crutches for RAW 1,000. It was time to get my knee fixed. The decision to no-show RAW 1,000 was made by me and no one else. I have always taken pride in making my shots and have never faked an injury or illness. Pro Wrestling is a tough game and it was time to pay the piper for some of the damage I incurred in the ring. No gripes. No complaints.

To the fans that were hoping to see SCSA, I’m sorry I missed the show. I would have loved to be there under different circumstances. I normally keep my personal business to myself, but due to feedback and incorrect speculation, I have posted this blog and given the 411 on why I was not at RAW 1,000.

I will post more blogs about my PT and recovery soon.

Steve Austin

Well, it's better that Stone Cold recover than be limping to the ring in crutches. That would ruin how everyone views him, IMO. A lot of people see him as an ass kicking machine who arrives, stunners, celebrates with beer and then leaves.

Good to see him saying that he would have been there under different circumstances.

I am also reading his blog in his voice for some reason.

*People begin to slowly back away from Pink Ranger*

Agreed and yeah I had his voice in my head while reading too!

Everything I read in my head sounds like either Natalie Portman, Michael Keaton or Decepticon Commander Shockwave. That is what it's like for everyone else, right?

Right?! :csad:

STEVE AUSTIN WAS NOT AT RAW BECAUSE.....

At least he had a good reason. I'll take a rain check

:funny: Very strange, I was reading his blog in Natalie Portman's voice.

That's weird. I've been reading things in Michael Caine's voice recently, lol.

I agree for the most part. I loved the opening with DX reuniting and then Sandow interferes. After that it sort of went downhill. I have mixed feelings over the show. There were a lot of strange decisions.

As much as I would of loved to see Austin last night his health and him getting healthy is more important then him showing up on One Episode of Raw.

did Cena become the 1st unsuccessful MOB winner?

Yes. Wasn't that exciting .. lol

Punk will be a regular WWE heel by the end of the month and then fed to movie boy at the Rumble to set up the rematch of one of the poorest Mania main events ever and SuperCena will get his win he should have already had instead of dragging this **** out 2 full years.

I'm sorry but anyone hoping for Punk's character change to anything new are in for a let down, it's time to pay the piper for last years pipebomb.

Turning Punk heel is ******ed as he's the only other truly over face WWE has, and it's not like WWE has a Storm or an Aries that are nipping at the heels in popularity and can be the guy to dethrone Punk and create a new top face, this is just more tired **** to feed Cena and the Movie star.

I can't believe this is happening. Punk is a good heel but I'm over Cena. There needs to be a face that rivals Cena in terms of popularity.

I was hoping for a dean ambrose debut during raw 1000, possibly being AJ's psycho ex boyfriend or something. But nothing. Hopefully soon.

Would've been nice IF the commentators had mentioned the reason though,King could said Austin is at home cause he's healing from a recent knee surgery But that Austin will show up someday when he's good&ready

Doesn't Punk's merchandise sell more than Cena's? That DOES make me wonder why he turned heel. Anyone know how much of a contract extension he signed? Maybe only a year? Did we ever find out?

I know he was really cryptic in a Tweet he made a while ago about how long he'd be in the WWE...

^^ sigh........it's a by product of our "entitlement" society.

everyone (well not everyone, but you know what I mean ) thinks they're entitled to something and they don't think to treat others with respect.

True that

There are plenty of designated times where wrestlers will be happy to sign stuff for people no need to be hassling them when they are eating, going to the bathroom, just stepping off a long plane flight, with their family, ect

Rock sure knows how to sell a clothline in a unique way!
OaVAa.gif

If you mean full time then yes there should be one.

I don't see that face being Randy Orton either... I think he crapped the bed once to often.
