There was a Marine 2?

Ted Debiase was in it as the main star. Honestly, I thought it was much better than the first one, though I still found it to be a bad film..but I guess it doesn't take much when comparing against the first one to begin with.

wow watch promo again the second cena says wrist promo line rock got very close to cena and his face got red and very flustered and he tensed up 53second mark

The problem is that Cena has already called himself out on all those things

" there's not going to be a reunion 2"

" I'll never have the millions"

" my audience is kids and I'm damn proud"

Does anyone actually believe he doesn't care? I mean there have been plenty of Cena promos where he might as well say "Love me! Love me! Please love me!"

@JohnCena calling @TheRock a "SOB" tonite shocked me & made me uncomfortable. Sounded more personal than in a professional context...IMO

That promo felt kind of uncomfortable to watch. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe @RealDDP can tell me. BANG!

I think he's always cared. I find it fascinating how these guys can gt booed by an entire crowd and not take it a little personal. It's funny because Rock said in his documentary it was non scripted when he finally cut his first heel promo and you could tell that he was bothered by the 'die rocky die' chants to some extent.

JR might be onto something

It would be really interesting if all Cena's pent up aggression was being taken out on the Rock. He should be careful though , Rock did look like he was about to swing.

someone else's thoughts on promo from another board and i think it is pretty accurate
"Here are my thoughts. I don’t think that Cena’s promo was planned. I think The Rock was rambling so Vince sent Cena out there to get a chance to stir The Rock up and take up for himself. It’s good live television. The Rock was really surprised when Cena’s music hit. The lighting department wasn’t prepared. They brought the lights up late. The WWE production is so amazing that they have all those minor details worked out far in advance. The reaction from The Rock and the production error really makes me believe that Cena’s promo was impromptu. And Cena was great. He completely owned The Rock. The Rock came out and did exactly what Cena said he would last week. He delivered punch lines, made Cena jokes, and rambled on and on. Cena’s promo was quick, accurate, and struck a nerve with The Rock. He even pulled out the notes on the wrist thing. The Rock seemed embarrassed. I love The Rock and all he’s done. I think he’s the greatest ever on the mic. But in this situation in a shoot interview he’s a little out of place. The Rock is entertaining. He delivers entertaining lines. He doesn’t deliver impromptu heat without premeditation."

It was definitely interesting, and with me not being a Rock or Cena fan, I want to see how Rock counters what Cena said.

So, decided to youtube what Cena said, greatly enjoyed it. Then turned Rocky back off again because I couldn't give 2 ****s what he had to say after already seeing 10 minutes of nothing.

Punk is the man. He and Bryan always work well together and I greatly enjoyed his promo with Jericho. This has potential to be a top 5 WrestleMania in my opinion.

I just don't buy that Cena "won" tonight's promo. Not in the least. Not when Rock said what the entire audience is thinking, talked about how he doesn't insult our intelligence, talked about how anyone with half a brain knew that Rock's comment didn't mean he'd be on every Raw and every Smackdown every week,

Cena's "keep trending" line was nice, but Cena got owned tonight, and it wasn't even close.

I completely agree and so did the audience. Each time I see Cena confront Rock, it makes me think of the first human who unknowingly confronts a superhuman/supernatural villian in a movie. When it's over, you think, "Oh, the humanity".

As much as I respect Chris Jericho, I think a title unification match between Punk and Bryan would have been the best choice for Wrestlemania.

I would've loved that but Vince probably wouldn't allow a unification match without Cena.

And Rock owned Cena by pointing out that the fans don't want Cena.

Cena did nothing tonight except drop a "keep trending" line.

Other than that, it was him focusing on "kung pao chicken", "hustle loyalty respect", and "I'm always here".

Cena did not impress tonight.

He visibly pissed the Rock off. So much that after Cena said what he said, all Rock could do was make a threat and run through his nicknames. I do wish Cena would expound on Rock being egotistical more, but look legitimately angry. That's a feat for me.

The different reactions to the promos are great. :D

And honestly; the problem imho with things like the Rock's available choices in responses is that we're really never going to hear things like them addressing as to why he really left the WWE and why he chose to stay away for so long when we've had others who have taken breaks to come back once and awhile to do more than telecast appearances.

Which are some of the biggest criticisms of the Rock in the last few years. And I wonder if Cena could bring up Rock not speaking to the guys in the back and keeping to himself.

The Rock really needs to go on about how a lot of people would rather see a guy who left for 7 years than than the guy here every week. "What does that say about you, John? What does that say about you when you make all these personal appearances and bend over backwards, and most these people will always love me more. I'll tell you what that says about you, John. You can't touch me...and it eats away at you."

See, if he had did that, and strung it together with his "No one was fighting for me" line, cut out the jokes, his promo would've been several times better.

Is it weird that I find this...good?

in my opinion why the rock was so physically flustered and embarrassed

rock has never in his career had someone mentally break him down personally in shoot style and insult him like that

rock has done it to others like booker t in 2001

or even Stephanie during attitude era

and they did'nt say anything back to him they just had to take it

but now we have a star just as big as rock hitting back and he did'nt know how to react

it was like a bully shocked when the kid he bullied punched him back

A star as big as The Rock? Cena? No way.

Oh wow, The Rock looked super-uncomfortable after Cena left. He just didn't have a retort. That empty blabbering came across like he was having a seizure or something. I gotta say, Cena owned him.

Most of the audience could care less if a promo has substance. They just want to be entertained...and most of them are easily entertained. They don't take any of it seriously until someone gets hurt. For Gods sake they still do the "WHAT" chant to amuse themselves. Whats so great about the what chant? Yet they love to be amused by it. Its all a circus to them. Rock says b*tch and strudel and boots to asses and whatever buzzword and they eat it up. Why cares if its the same thing every week.

Rock was more entertaining tonight to most people but looking at it on substance and generating heat for this match Cena turned it up a notch. He "won" because he was the one that did what needed to be done. He actually moved this thing forward.

But like Cena said people are going to boo him and cheer Rock anyway.

And what exactly did Cena say that he hasn't been saying for a year straight now?

"Hustle, Loyalty, Respect", "Dwayne", and focused on "Kung Pao chicken" and turned it into yet another "I'm here every week" response.

"Keep trending" and the promo notes lines were nice, but that was it.

Cena didn't cut anything.

Meanwhile, underneath the surface of "kung pao *****", "fruity pebbles", and "lady parts", Rock owned Cena by 1.) proving that even as a part timer, the audience loves Rock more than they will ever love Cena, and 2.) speaking the mind of the audience by talking about how stale Cena's character is, and how he hasn't done anything innovative in years.

Ugh...no he didn't. talk about biased view. Rock made good points about Cena...but that promo was a rambling off topic mess for about 80 percent of the time he was out there. The point was to respond to Cena and sell mania. It would have been better if Rock cut out 50 percent of the unrelated nonsense because his time is limited anyway. If his point with the twitter trending talk was to show how he can affect the fans he could have done that with ONE single cohesive bit about it instead of spreading it all over.

Beyond getting the sheeple to get things trending on twitter Rocks line about innovating every time was a joke. He has a glorified stand up routine but a routine (an amusing routine) isn't innovative. Twitter is the new "at work water cooler." The only thing innovative about that is that people talk through electronic text instead of face to face or on a phone.

Under the surface? How can it be under the surface if he was saying it directly? Cena said the same thing about Rock but Rock has said the exact same thing about Cena before! Rock did nothing new until Cena came out and actually pushed him.

If anything last night just shows that Rock ain't the great promo man people think because when it comes to improvisation he's lost these days. Kung Pow b**** sound like something five year old would say and laugh at. What the hell does that even mean? Rock should ahve worked his jokes into a linear progression to the topic at hand. But instead he went back and forth going off track..

Roddy Piper didn't ever need no notes and when someone hit him with some out of left field shoot style comments he was witty and quick witted enough to respond in kind.

Cena doing his little thing and then leaving really bothered me. It felt a little random, but more importantly it just isn't something The Rock would let someone do. People said things to him and he always responded immediately and to that person's face. I still think Cena's being protected here, because there's no way it should go like that. He should have at least been at the top of the stage while Rock gave in his final words. It was just weird.

That was off the cuff tv...which was great in this boringly predictable scripted age of WWE. If Rock was the promo man people say he is he should have been able to immediately adjust and adapt out there when Cena came put.

So far this whole feud has been boringly predictable with both guys saying the same garbage over and over for a year. Cena just injected some unpredictability.

The two hits were almost back to back, I think you might be right that the combination of both took him off guard.

Probably but hopefully WWE will see how far that promo strayed from actually being about Cena/Mania, and will tell him to rein it in, in fact I hope there's no more solo promos from either guy.

Agreed. Separately they are just retreading the same ground. Together things get raw (pun intended) and they have each other to play off of directly.

When he has Cena out there Rock can't only goof with the crowd. He has to talk directly to Cena more. Ditto with Cena.
