There was a Marine 2?Exactly. There will be a Marine 3, so Cena is just a hypocrite.

There was a Marine 2?
I thought that was Behind Enemy Lines, or was that Anderson?Yeah, Ted Dibiase starred in that one
I thought that was Behind Enemy Lines, or was that Anderson?
I see. Carry on then.Yeah that was Mr. kennedy/anderson
The problem is that Cena has already called himself out on all those things
" there's not going to be a reunion 2"
" I'll never have the millions"
" my audience is kids and I'm damn proud"
Does anyone actually believe he doesn't care? I mean there have been plenty of Cena promos where he might as well say "Love me! Love me! Please love me!"

@JohnCena calling @TheRock a "SOB" tonite shocked me & made me uncomfortable. Sounded more personal than in a professional context...IMO
"Here are my thoughts. I don’t think that Cena’s promo was planned. I think The Rock was rambling so Vince sent Cena out there to get a chance to stir The Rock up and take up for himself. It’s good live television. The Rock was really surprised when Cena’s music hit. The lighting department wasn’t prepared. They brought the lights up late. The WWE production is so amazing that they have all those minor details worked out far in advance. The reaction from The Rock and the production error really makes me believe that Cena’s promo was impromptu. And Cena was great. He completely owned The Rock. The Rock came out and did exactly what Cena said he would last week. He delivered punch lines, made Cena jokes, and rambled on and on. Cena’s promo was quick, accurate, and struck a nerve with The Rock. He even pulled out the notes on the wrist thing. The Rock seemed embarrassed. I love The Rock and all he’s done. I think he’s the greatest ever on the mic. But in this situation in a shoot interview he’s a little out of place. The Rock is entertaining. He delivers entertaining lines. He doesn’t deliver impromptu heat without premeditation."
It was definitely interesting, and with me not being a Rock or Cena fan, I want to see how Rock counters what Cena said.someone else's thoughts on promo from another board and i think it is pretty accurate
I just don't buy that Cena "won" tonight's promo. Not in the least. Not when Rock said what the entire audience is thinking, talked about how he doesn't insult our intelligence, talked about how anyone with half a brain knew that Rock's comment didn't mean he'd be on every Raw and every Smackdown every week,
Cena's "keep trending" line was nice, but Cena got owned tonight, and it wasn't even close.
Punk is the man. He and Bryan always work well together and I greatly enjoyed his promo with Jericho. This has potential to be a top 5 WrestleMania in my opinion.
As much as I respect Chris Jericho, I think a title unification match between Punk and Bryan would have been the best choice for Wrestlemania.
And Rock owned Cena by pointing out that the fans don't want Cena.
Cena did nothing tonight except drop a "keep trending" line.
Other than that, it was him focusing on "kung pao chicken", "hustle loyalty respect", and "I'm always here".
Cena did not impress tonight.

And honestly; the problem imho with things like the Rock's available choices in responses is that we're really never going to hear things like them addressing as to why he really left the WWE and why he chose to stay away for so long when we've had others who have taken breaks to come back once and awhile to do more than telecast appearances.
The Rock really needs to go on about how a lot of people would rather see a guy who left for 7 years than than the guy here every week. "What does that say about you, John? What does that say about you when you make all these personal appearances and bend over backwards, and most these people will always love me more. I'll tell you what that says about you, John. You can't touch me...and it eats away at you."

That promo felt kind of uncomfortable to watch. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe @RealDDP can tell me. BANG!
wow watch promo again the second cena says wrist promo line rock got very close to cena and his face got red and very flustered and he tensed up 53second mark
I completely agree and so did the audience. Each time I see Cena confront Rock, it makes me think of the first human who unknowingly confronts a superhuman/supernatural villian in a movie. When it's over, you think, "Oh, the humanity".
And what exactly did Cena say that he hasn't been saying for a year straight now?
"Hustle, Loyalty, Respect", "Dwayne", and focused on "Kung Pao chicken" and turned it into yet another "I'm here every week" response.
"Keep trending" and the promo notes lines were nice, but that was it.
Cena didn't cut anything.
Meanwhile, underneath the surface of "kung pao *****", "fruity pebbles", and "lady parts", Rock owned Cena by 1.) proving that even as a part timer, the audience loves Rock more than they will ever love Cena, and 2.) speaking the mind of the audience by talking about how stale Cena's character is, and how he hasn't done anything innovative in years.
Cena doing his little thing and then leaving really bothered me. It felt a little random, but more importantly it just isn't something The Rock would let someone do. People said things to him and he always responded immediately and to that person's face. I still think Cena's being protected here, because there's no way it should go like that. He should have at least been at the top of the stage while Rock gave in his final words. It was just weird.
The two hits were almost back to back, I think you might be right that the combination of both took him off guard.
Probably but hopefully WWE will see how far that promo strayed from actually being about Cena/Mania, and will tell him to rein it in, in fact I hope there's no more solo promos from either guy.
