Dave Meltzer says that calling up Sonya DeVille makes no sense due to the impending arrival of the MMA 4HW as they would all have the same gimmicks as her.

Easy solution; just transfer her to whatever promotion the 4HW aren't on. It's not the end of the world if DeVille is stuck with pounding in Liv Morgan's face for a few weeks while the theoretical HW vs. HW angle plays out.

I am curious as to why Nia Jax has been booked the way she has. One would think that since the WWE likes to kiss her cousin's ass, they would book her as an unstoppable force. Instead she's in a storyline with Enzo.

And speaking of Nia's cousin, he announced that his girlfriend is going to give birth to his third child, who is yet another daughter. His oldest Daughter, Simone is a Golden Globes Ambassador. He's also getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He's had a good few weeks so far.

Drew Gulak killed it on commentary on Raw. It was great. I'd vote for him.

Here's something I think needs to be addressed about Triple H. I see people online talking about how Triple H beating Jinder proves that he's going to kill Braun. That's just not likely, I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but in the grand scheme of power there's much more incentive to make this guy straight out of the performance center a massive star than there is for Trips to directly harm this guy. Triple H is clever. He plays the long game. The bigger his NXT and performance center wrestlers become the richer his legacy within the business is. His influence and power grows when his projects NXT and the PC succeed. There are much more important things than winning a match when people are jockeying for position backstage. It's all about The Game, and how you play it.

Triple H beating Jinder makes no sense.

That's a whole other matter. I see it from both sides really. They put time in this guy so it would have made sense to let him win. At the same time, what did putting him in there with Orton and giving him the belt even matter? Those Indian fans are Reigns and Cena fans first. You basically fed Nakamura to a guy who's not that good AND he's not even the biggest star for that market anyway. Maybe giving a job guy the world title shot on a special was stupid. Just a thought.

Or maybe they could have done more than throwing the belt at him and expecting the indian fans to feed on that.

Having Mahal lose in india was as stupid as writing those racist promos for him.
Triple H beating him in india was just the cherry on top of the mess they made with Mahal.
They didnt even try anything with the HHH vs Mahal thing, nothing to strenghten or work on the Mahal Character...nothing.

And i dont get why they thought it would be enough to get Millions of people to suddenly become WWE fans with the way they used Mahal.

They shouldn't havee hotshot the dude in the first place. He shouldn't have been a heel either. He shouldn't have been as boring as he was. He shouldn't have had heaters. His title reign drove me away from SmackDown because A) I don't like Jinder's work and B) I'm not watching a guy play this type of character anymore in wrestling. It sucks. I don't want to watch a guy say people hate him because of race and then validate prejudice by making him a scumbag. Especially when Jinder himself can't even really deliver anything. Again, why was he chosen over Rusev? Why has The Miz never been rewarded for what he's been doing the past few years? I'm not kissing Mahal's butt and pretending anything about him as champion was good when I don't feel that way.

Jim Cornette said it best about Triple H when he described Triple H 'he's an eight pushed as a ten. People think he's a six'.

Jinder winning the title because he got better PEDs doesn't make sense. But here we are. I prefer HHH bury Jinder, and let actual talent raise. Braun is actual talent.

For Smackdown I'd go with

Jimmy/Naomi
Rusev/Lana
Becky/Naka
Bobby/Charlotte
Nati/Sami

Which leaves New Day and Carmella. Yeesh

And for Raw

Joe/Asuka
Bliss/Braun
Goldust/Fox
Jordan/Banks
Finn/Baylay
Nia/Enzo

Asuka needs to win the whole thing. Her streak ending here would suck. If Asuka loses, it has to be the right time and right opponent.

And Lana is likely the only woman to celebrate Rusev Day.

Yay. We're on the same page.

I actually want to see Cena shoot on Jinder. If Cena likes a guy, he'll put the guy over, like Shinsuke and AJ. If not he'll completely bury you. I would like to know what his opinion of Jinder actually is.

I'd be pissed about HHH beating Jinder but its hard for me to care when I think Jinder sucks and his title reign has been one of the worst in years. JBL got fast tracked to the title too but at least JBL could cut a great promo and had a wicked clothesline. What does Jinder have going for him? His physique? I haven't even seen him use any real power moves or make that part of his deal. He still wrestles like a lower-card geek even though he getting a main event push.

Which goes to show how easy it is to mask shortcomings when you just give someone the right material.

Braun is neither extremely good on the mic nor the ring, but he gets the right booking and writing that works for his character.
That was always the case, just look at Batista.

Anyway...
I dont know what it is but im so tired of the WWE currently.
Nothing really seems to interest me about it.
I assume its because of oversaturation...or because im just bored with it.
Because NJPW continues to be extremely enjoyable at the moment, same with ROH.

I maintain that Jinder should have won the US title and Owens should have the WWE title WAY back when.

That way you can develop Jinder in a manner that doesn't overshadow the whole show.

So Lashley and EC3 are probably headed to WWE Lashley is a guy I could see WWE pushing hard again. It's not like they have any black main event guys anymore, big, amateur wrestling/MMA background, improved in TNA. Sounds like a decent choice for WWE Champion to me, especially considering who they have put the title on before

Would the WWE allow him to still compete for Bellator? That may be an issue.

So we're approaching the two year anniversary of the WWE debut of AJ Styles and when he first debuted at the 2016 Royal Rumble, I thought he was going to be a non-factor during his entire WWE run. He's one of my favorite wrestlers, so I have been more than pleased at how well he's been treated by the WWE in the last two years. His feud with Kevin Owens wasn't great, but he was on TV every week in an actual storyline. He's a 2-time WWE Champion and a 2-Time WWE US Champion. It didn't hurt than he debuted at a time where a lot of their top guys were out with injuries. He's a 4-time champion in WWE, which is more than a lot of people can say.
