Anyone know who the Hideo Itami name is a tribute to?

Itami is the name of a city, that's all I can find.

There's a number of people with the name Hideo. Could be in honor of Hideo Kojima for all we know.

NXT is the best wrestling show out there. It reminds me why I still watch wrestling and doesn't disappoint me.

NXT usually makes the save whenever I question getting the network.

Thank god CJ Parker grew a beard. Much less of his face we have to see.

Why didthey name him after Pam's character on Baywatch?

Apparently 'Itami' is also a Japanese word for 'pain. Pretty fitting :woot:

I like the name Hideo Itami. Better than Yoshi Fuji.

Hell, Bray Wyatt had a stupid name.

Marking out that Team Lucha won the NXT tag titles!

I might get that Lucha Dragons shirt. Glad Hunico is Sin Cara he was/is the better one anyway.

I'm warming up to Big Cas&Enzo's theme

The most fun I have watching wrestling features WWE talent, but isn't run by Vince McMahon or Kevin Dunn.......Hmmmm.......is there a connection?

I pray that Vince decides to retire completely sometime soon and Trips heirs all control

Damn that was a f'n awesome main event or well the whole show was but disappointed Neville retained

You know I just noticed something about raw last Monday. Did anybody notice that Seth Rollins almost took a spike in the back trying get into the ring as the steel cage was coming down. Probably old news here.

I didn't notice that at first, I just thought he botched his timing, like he wasn't supposed to get into the ring and pretended that he just missed. Then I see the gif of the spike nearly impaling him, and it made sense.

I can't be the only one who gets a Michael Myers vibe from Baron Corbin. Guy gives me the chills!

"Hello, Mr. Rollins, or as they call you in the ring: Seth."

Man, I love those NXT specials so much. It's about the only thing that has me interested in WWE these days too.

These do so much for the Network, and I think they really promoted it well on other platforms. I wish they had started a couple weeks ago on Raw, but that's besides the point. I have my own ideas on how they could use the Network, but I'll leave those for another post.

Speaking of something have any of you warmed up to Sami Zayn's current entrance and theme? At first I questioned it because of how much I liked his original theme but it grew on me because of how well it just fits him.

Like everything about the Sami Zayn character has pretty much become organic and that's really going to help him when he gets to the main roster.

^I like his theme a lot. Like you said, it fits him perfectly. I did like the first theme too, but this one is much more organic to his character as you mentioned.
