1.) He'll probably still be in the title match at HIAC

2.) He'll still show up on RAW

Why can't the man just take a break, lol. It'll do wonders to the character, imo. Being gone for a few months and then returning will make people actually miss him.

I bet Cena's surgery still doesn't keep him off the air. They will be filming him in the hospital like Lawler.

All of you are underestimating the WWE.

Clearly, with Cena gone, there's no hope for wrestling. All WWE shows must be taken off the air for the next 4-6 weeks until Cena is ready to go full-time again.

Instead, Monday Night RAW will be replaced by a rerun of Charles In Charge.

Not multiple episodes, mind you, but the same episode repeated six times over the 3-hour period, every week for 4-6 weeks. It'll be the one where Buddy wants to become a priest.

That's really the only programming decision that makes sense now, clearly.

I think he's obsessed with the spotlight. Cena will be in the main event for every ppv this year or die trying.

cena no sold his own dive

Cena doesn't sell the crossface

I'm only 22 and the weightlifting alone is already takings it's toll on me. But, I don't wrestle 300+ days a year and constantly on the road. He will break down eventually.

I think time off will benefit him and the audience. The only problem is, who can fill his position?

With WWE in charge of building a person to fill his void? Nobody until far after Cena can't go any longer and has stopped or is a bigger joke in the ring then he already is. Punk was a good candidate to help build another major face seeing as he was getting cheered by men, women, AND children. Unfortunately he's gone heel so we can have John get more of the top spotlight.

- The Great Khali is tentatively scheduled to return to WWE's squared circle in approximately a month.

In late July, Khali, whose real name is Dalip Singh, underwent surgery to remove a pituitary gland tumor that’s the cause of his tremendous size. The tumor was discovered through WWE’s Talent Wellness Program, according to a report by ABC News. It was noted that he would be healthy enough to return to the ring within months.

- Promoting the third season of Haven on Syfy, former WWE talent Adam "Edge" Copeland discussed making the transition from professional wrestling to acting during an interview with SciFiAndTvTalk.

“Once I became a wrestler and then as the years progressed I came to the realization that, well, I’ve done everything there is to do in wrestling, and now I can’t get cleared physically to do it any more, so what can I do? Anytime I’d done any acting I really enjoyed it, and it’s something creative," Copeland said. "No matter what it is, I have to do something creative. That’s just the way I’m wired. I don’t do well in offices, so I need be doing something, whether it’s writing a book, painting, drawing, the theatrics of the WWE or acting, I need this. So I guess it [acting] is somewhat of a natural extension of the wrestling, but it was a happy accident, for sure.”

Copeland also discussed the evolution of his Edge character, coping with WWE's strenuous travel schedule, his character's role on Haven, and more. The full interview is available here.

- Word coming out of Night of Champions was that Paul Heyman came up with the idea to have CM Punk wear New York Yankees pinstriped ring gear.

- New WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres has a ton of supporters and fans within WWE. This and her winning NBC's Stars Earn Stripes are why she won the title at Night of Champions.

- WWE reportedly took away anti-John Cena signs before the main event at Sunday's Night of Champions pay-per-view in Boston.

- WWE's shop website is now selling the "Long Live The King" shirt for Jerry Lawler that Michael Cole wore on last night's RAW. They are also selling new Superstar Lifetile necklaces and the 2013 WWE wall calendar with CM Punk, John Cena and Randy Orton on the cover.

- In an update from last night's RAW, the fan who was accidentally thrown the live microphone by Ryback was not ejected by security. As noted before, Ryback threw the mic into the crowd when he was tearing up MizTV. The fan grabbed the mic and began yelling "Goldberg!" before WWE's ring crew chased him down and took it back.

- John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE Title is scheduled to main event next month's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

- Word is that Vince McMahon recently made the call to take Ryback's character to the next level. By what happened on RAW last night, it looks like he may be headed for a feud with Intercontinental Champion The Miz.

Announced for Thursday's Impact Wrestling is the return of Gut Check and Hulk Hogan's response to threats from Aces & 8s. TNA is also teasing an Open Fight Night brawl between James Storm and Bobby Roode.

- As noted over the weekend, Matt Morgan returned to TNA and "crashed" two live events. Word now is that Morgan actually re-signed two months ago and has been working fans on the internet all along.

- TNA had Jeff Hardy win the Bound For Glory Series because his contract is expiring soon and they wanted to make him happy in hopes that he will re-sign.

Cena will be on Raw for next few weeks and likely cutting promos with a sling on like a Rookie Randy Orton did during his arm injury,"I'm 25% healed"and etc until a few when later when he got up to 100

In Cena's case..Week 1-"I'm 50% healed",Week 2-"I'm now 100% healed up",Week 3-"Let's have a tag team match against each other tonight and then on sunday I'll be..150% ready for you"

Even more furthering the possible Punk/Rock feud...

John Cena ‏@JohnCena
We show the @wwe who #thechamp really is? And why would u even try and borrow @therock stuff, stick with #hitman n #macho #dontangerdwayne

:lmao:

Damn that's a good laugh.

Too true, lol.

who is punk to feud with in the meantime?

John Cena of course

- WWE reportedly took away anti-John Cena signs before the main event at Sunday's Night of Champions pay-per-view in Boston.

They try so hard to keep as much hate as they can off of Cena, don't they? Even moreso in his hometown.

I think he's obsessed with the spotlight. Cena will be in the main event for every ppv this year or die trying.

I agree, but to be fair, even before he even became a main eventer, he's always came off as a hard worker. I know some people who are workaholics, they hate having days off so it could apply to Johnny Boy.

- New WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres has a ton of supporters and fans within WWE. This and her winning NBC's Stars Earn Stripes are why she won the title at Night of Champions.

Just as I thought!

- TNA had Jeff Hardy win the Bound For Glory Series because his contract is expiring soon and they wanted to make him happy in hopes that he will re-sign.

Nice to see them copying WWE's tactics.

I remember when cena took a DDT on a Concrete he didn't even sell that.

Cena will pull the Rock for a few weeks

Cena LIVE VIA Satellite

So WWE has to make money of Jerry's heart attack!
Taking the signs away? Lame!
Goldberg mic part, hahaha, that was hilarious.

I'm betting that Vince is more upset at John's surgery than he is with King's heart attack.

This and the entire feud with Cena/Punk and Punk/Rock makes me wonder if the main event for WM 29 won't be "Twice in a Lifetime" but rather Cena vs Punk vs Rock for the WWE Title. Heck, if Punk's still a heel, bring in another heel like Miz(who was someone else that Rock got involved with during his return).

WWE Smackdown (Airing Friday)

* Edge opens the show to a big pop. He cuts a promo about being back and plugs some upcoming projects including SyFy's Haven. Edge starts dissing Kane and Daniel Bryan for hugging each other. He's quickly interrupted by Daniel Bryan to a surprising positive reaction. Bryan mocks Edge and tells him to go back to home and get back to acting. Good back and forth segment with them doing a promo. Kane came out and got into it with Bryan. Edge asked Kane what happened to the big red monster he used to know. Kane hugged Edge. This upset Bryan and out came Damien Sandow. Edge told him to shut up and they argued. Booker T came out and booked Kane vs. Sandow.

* Damien Sandow beat Kane when Daniel Bryan distracted him at ringside.

* Kane is backstage upset looking for Daniel Bryan. Dr. Shelby appears and tells him to calm down. Bryan appears and they argue some more. Shelby stops them and makes them promise to both be tag team champions. Shelby is going to talk to Booker T and get Bryan a match to make Kane feel better.

* Backstage with Booker T and Alberto Del Rio complaining about Night of Champions. Del Rio wants another title shot but Booker says he's going to have to earn it.

* Layla defeated Natalya with Eve Torres on commentary.

* Lilian Garcia announced the main event for tonight. It looks like they are taping it early tonight since the dark match is advertised as Randy Orton vs. Del Rio vs. Sheamus for the title.

* Del Rio makes his entrance to boos followed by Vickie Guerrero saying "Excuse me" as she was booed to announce Dolph Ziggler, who got no reaction at all. Orton got tons of cheers. The crowd was hot for this show! I haven't heard it this loud in Philly for some time. Sheamus got a reaction just below Randy Orton's in all cheers.

* Sheamus and Randy Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler. Vickie, Ricardo, Del Rio, and Ziggler were huddled at ringside before the match got underway. Sheamus and Del Rio started. Late in the match, Orton went to his vintage move set of the scoop slam and DDT through the ropes. Ziggler got involved and Del Rio got a back breaker for a two count. More offense for the heels as a RKO chant broke out. Orton went for a tag but Del Rio stopped him until Orton was able to get Del Rio out of the ring. Orton made the hot tag as well as Del Rio. Sheamus and Ziggler went back and forth. Del Rio got involved but ended up taking an RKO as Sheamus hit his Brogue Kick on Ziggler for the win.

* Sheamus and Orton play to the hot crown and slap hands with fans as they cut to a shot outside the Wells Fargo Center Daniel Bryan makes a silent Entrance with the lights off for his match.

* Cody Rhodes beat Daniel Bryan. Kane's pyro went off around the ring and distracted Bryan. Rhodes hit Cross Rhodes for the win.

* Bryan is backstage looking for Kane and finds him in a corner laughing. They argued. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes appeared, calling the tag champions a joke. Sandow and Rhodes vs. Kane and Bryan is made.

* Brodus Clay beat Heath Slater by DQ when Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre attacked him. All three of them beat Clay down and Mahal put him in the Camel Clutch.

* Santino Marella beat Antonio Cesaro in a non-title match. Cesaro had the match won but Aksana fell into the ring and injured herself so the referee was distracted. Santino got the win via roll up. After the match, Cesaro broke up with Aksana in 5 different languages.

* Kane and Daniel Bryan wrestled Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow to a DQ in a Lumberjack Match. The Usos, Titus O'Neil, Darren Young, Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel were at ringside. The DQ came when Rhodes hit Kane with a steel chair. They all brawled then. It ended with Kane and Bryan hitting both of their opponents with chairs.

I just finished watching Raw, and it didn't feel like a three hour show, which is a good thing. I think a lot of it had to do with the commentary, IMO. The only thing I don't like right now is Michael Cole doing a total 180, as if he wasn't biased up until Jerry's heart attack. It doesn't make sense at all.

Last thing, why is it that Cena has to constantly bury Punk when he's on the mic? I mean last week it was that Punk's reign doesn't mean anything because he hasn't beaten Cena (he had already during this reign), and that Punk hasn't done a thing that shows he should be respected. This week, it's that respect is this and this, and that Punk's walkout speech was only for Punk.

If Night of Champions showed anything, it's that Punk is more over than Cena, even when it's in Cena's hometown and Punk is being a heel with Paul Heyman and Yankees pinstripes. Boston cheered a wrestler wearing the colors of their rival, that doesn't happen. With Raw, Punk got a huge pop and the loudest "It's clobbering time!" chant from the crowd that I've heard in a while.

And WWE still finds a way to feed Del Rio to Sheamus again. With Cena injured, it's going to be interesting to see how they approach this feud.

In fairness she is the best all round Diva on the roster right now.

This reads like the Daniel Bryan and Kane show....

I'll have to check Edge's return on youtube.

CM Pu...Oh,,,wait..No they turned him heel.

Looks like I'll be missing SD again.
