Anyone remember when SmackDown was GOOD? *sigh*

Yes! Angle, Brock, BikerTaker, Matt Hardy V. 1.0, Benoit, Los Guerreros, WGTT, Hip-Hop Cena, Young Rey, Hairy A-Train, Cruiserweight Division, Steph's implants, big fist set, great matches, entertaining segments, no Triple H, TAJIRI, Italian-American stereotypes. Good times.

Even Velocity was entertaining back then.

Who was Mr. America anyways?

In fairness she is the best all round Diva on the roster right now.

JBL tried to get over her background at NOC. Hopefully this will lead to something good.
This reads like the Daniel Bryan and Kane show....

I think it's entertaining because of the talent involved but sure enough they'll run it into the ground . I'm excited about [BLACKOUT]Edge [/BLACKOUT]though.

Last thing, why is it that Cena has to constantly bury Punk when he's on the mic?

It was a poorly conceived and forced heel turn. They're so desperate to make Punk look bad they'll make anything up. I'm surprised Cena didn't make a play on Punk being rude to fans. Punk could of said he's sick of playing second fiddle while still being a face. It just doesn't make sense.

- WWE reportedly took away anti-John Cena signs before the main event at Sunday's Night of Champions pay-per-view in Boston.

That's just wrong.

The Smackdown six  It's a shame Jericho didn't feud with Sheamus and they're too afraid to utilize Christian.

This and the entire feud with Cena/Punk and Punk/Rock makes me wonder if the main event for WM 29 won't be "Twice in a Lifetime" but rather Cena vs Punk vs Rock for the WWE Title. Heck, if Punk's still a heel, bring in another heel like Miz(who was someone else that Rock got involved with during his return).

It seems like they're heading in the direction of a triple threat match. At least that will give Punk a high profile match and it won't ruin the "once in a lifetime" tagline.

Is WWE realeasing a "Best PPV Matches of 2012" Blu-Ray this year?

Yes. There's also CM Punk , Brock Lesnar ( re release with new chapter and matches) , NWO ,and Attitude Era set due before the end of the year.

You forgot Billy and Chuck with Rico.

lol nope, wiki says he's a cop

As of 2006, Rico is an Officer for the Nevada Taxi Cab Authority.

This.

This has me pissed off to no end right now.

Likewise. Mike Johnson of PWINsider.com also reported this on his hotline today. Apparently Hardy had thoughts f going back to WWE. There is talk that TNA actually giving him the belt as a sign of good faith to keep him around.

The word is TNA wants to get a return off of Hardy they they never got due to his drug issue last year.

This pisses me immensely as Storm, Ray,amd Roode were all screwed because of this, not to mention Aries now might lose the title because of Hardy. :cmad:

I understand wanting to keep Hardy because he's a name and sells the most merchandise by farm, but this is the ultimate slap in the face to your homegrown dedicated talent who earned their spot and chance to headline BFG.

Honest to God it is decisions like these that make me worry that guys like Storm and Roode will leave TNA when their deals are up.

Really hope that's the case. It would save WWE's ass for the 'Once in a Lifetime' tagline for the previous Rock/Cena match and also add something very new in the next match with using CM Punk.

I really miss the Ruthless Agression Era and always thought it was very underrated,It's actually my favorite era since the Golden Era,It wasn't over the top like Attitude while still having some cool edge to it and being serious/mature for the most part compared to Attitude!!!

Roster was stacked with awesome vets&young blood who got to shine big time,Even though some wrestlers from ECW&WCW got their characters ruined I still marked seeing DDP/Steiner/Booker T/Ultimo Dragon/Mysterio/Goldberg/Rhyno/Etc going at it against WWF/E guys

The Cruiserweight Division was awesome/Tag Division was solid and Upper titles&ME scenes was great,Some classic matches&storylins from all over the roster

Back to the roster IMO..

Biker Taker>Current WM's Taker

Evolution Triple H>Current Face COO Triple H

Heel Buzzcut Big Show>Current Angry Giant

Half-Mask Kane>Current

A-Train>Tensai

Brock>Current

Dr.of Thugonomics Cena>>>Current

Mysterio'02-'06>Current

I'll be making the Ruthless Aggression Era in my Universe Mode in WWE'13 since now you can fully create an arena&the Smackdown Fist is one of the pre-set stages,Create a Championship may be back But game already has most RA era titles

Evoluton Orton>Current

OK, so I'm not great on wrestling terminology, but Punk's a heel, Cena's the face, right? Can you get 'Super-Heels'? Or does a face turn heel, and the heel turn face? There's no second level of heel-ness??

May sound random, but I was thinking of something I'd like to see (won't ever happen - it involves turning Cena heel.) It's also gonna be a long read....

What if Punk goes down the same route as The Rock, and just hammers home the point that the crowd don't like him. But to really make his point, Cena needs the title. Say Cena beats Punk at Hell In A Cell, and wins the title. You could have the standard rematch, and Cena wins. Punk then states that he finally did it, he beat him (Punk) but STILL the crowd booed him. He stood, with new belt (new design) in front of the crowd and got booed. It has to eat at him. Cena retorts that everyone has an opinion etc and he just rises about it. Have Heyman leave Punk and maybe go to Ziggler or Barrett (think Barrett would be a good fit), but Punk backs out the title picture for a little while, maybe giving Ziggler and Barrett some good exposure via good matches. At the end of Punk's matches, Cena comes out at the top of the stage/titantron, belt raised, just to rub it in, gloating to Punk - very un-Cena-like. He does this for a few weeks until eventually Punk calls him out and asks why. Cena gets booed still, no one cheers for him. Punk again points out he's champ, but the crowd don't care for him like he wants. He puts his body on the line for them, it's all he's done, but still they don't like him. Cena's all smiles "They got a right not to like me...." etc Punk asks if he's really happy with that. Eventually Cena snaps at Punk. Tells him yea, they can hate him, because that's not what it's about, is it? Cena tells Punk he lost his title, and it's eating him up, tells him that there's not a damn thing he can do about it. Cena leaves.

Punk's matches from now on have familiar endings. With Cena coming out to no music, not running down the ramp, he jus walks out, gets in the ring, and AA's Punks opponent, so Punk keeps losing via DQ.

It culminates at Wrestlemania, with Punk vs Cena for the title, with The Rock as Special Guest Ref. Punk wins with the Anaconda Vice eventually, with Cena tapping. Punk's victory is more than just winning the title. He broke Cena's 'never give up' stance, and made Cena quit. The Rock raises Punk's arm and introduces him as champion. BOOM. Rock bottom to Punk - "you didn't think I'd forgotten, did you?!". Rock leaves.

After that we've got a Heel Cena because he was wrong, he couldn't rise above it. And now Punk, and others in the back are gonna suffer. So Cena still wins his matches (as usual), but he does it as a heel. There's room for a Punk vs Rock feud too, following on from Mania.

Meh, it's woolly, maybe it's a good thing I don't write for WWE!!

I said the same thing last night on my radio show. Well, yelled would be more accurate.

It's really, really doubtful the WWE wants Jeff Hardy back. I don't know what TNA is worried about.

I've been off the grid for about about a month, so I haven't been keeping up with wrestling. Did I miss anything important?

Dean Ambrose made his debut. He wears a female cheerleader outfit and dances behind Heath Slater as part of his entrance.

I don't know. Sheamus doesn't seem to be working out as a top face and Randy Orton wants to turn back to a heel but they can't do it until Sheamus gets similar face reactions to Orton.

Yeah, but the WWE doesn't like hiring drug addicts at the best of times, much less when Linda's in the middle of her fruitless senate campaign.

Hardy was the most over babyface in WWE before he left. It wouldn't surprise me if WWE at least expressed some mild interest in bringing him back.

Velocity was great because of the insanely awesome series of matches between Paul London and Akio.
My Saturday evenings when I was 14 was video games all night until Velocity came on, watched some good stuff until an hour later I went back to video games.

It's amazing what I find on YouTube on my day off, playas. :hehe:

This explains why for all those years Teddy always put Taker in those tag matchs as the mystery guy, so they could look back at old times fondly. Now I want Teddy dressed exactly like this as Taker's manager at WM 29.

And Jamie Noble.

Eve won back the Divas title, we have the most fun tag team in a long time with Bryan and Kane, Paul Heyman came back to be buddies with CM Punk, and Triple H finally cut his hair!
