The WTF Moments Of Spider-Man 3

Brock was acting exactly as his character should, he put his career and reputation before caring about others. Taking pictures of this major catastrophe is far more rewarding for him than worrying about the outcome.

Doing a similar behavior means to be a great bastard villain, which that's not his case. He's just a poor jerk.

For me there are only two WTF scenes:
1. Rent guy saying something like good man and good woman to Peter.
2. Harry's memory loss

At the crane accident, Capt. Stacy & Brock's behavior after they saw Gwen hanging for her life. WTF is wrong with them? Gwen's about to plunge to her death and they engage in senseless chatter, and they didn't even try to do something to get to her! Get up in the building or call for help!

Or they should at least say something especially Gwen's father like, "OMG, it's my daughter, gotta do something". Or Brock immediately running up the building when he saw Gwen hanging for dear life in his camera but hey he rather chose to introduce himself to Gwen's Dad & talk B.S.

They've gotta to be the most uncaring father and friend in moviedom. :wow: WTF?!

Maybe the scene was cut out :whatever:

Sorry, I don't quite understand what your trying to say.

Brock's character in SM3 is really wasted. He's bolse, weak and dumb.
So i can't believe that he could act like a bastard in the Gwen's about to death scene... his lines in thah scene are just a non-sense example of the movie.

Pure non-sense. Like all the movie. Damn it.

Non-sense? How's that? An uncaring father and a guy who thinks he's Gwen boyfriend putting his job first over her non-sense?!? Anyway, this is a WTF moment in SM3 for me...

Non-sense? How's that? An uncaring father and a guy who thinks he's Gwen boyfriend putting his job first over her non-sense?!?

Yes, non-sense because it's not realistic.
I know NOBODY that would have such a reaction seeing a scene like that.
It's a TRAGEDY, a girl who's about to die. The character's reaction to this scene is a pure non-sense, something totally insane.

But Gwen wasn't just another person to him. Brock likes her very much, he even introduced himself to Capt. Stacy as Gwen's BF. So it's puzzling to me why he acted that way and did nothing to help Gwen. So I see that as a WTF moment.

if it hadn't been already mentioned the whole lapse of spidersense throughout the whole film

I think Gwen and MJ should have been up in the taxi/web. It would have showed how evil Venom/Brock was to get revenge on those that hurt him, and would have made the finale yet not another MJ rescue.

Why were Gwen and Captain Stacey at Harry's funeral?

They never even had any interaction with him.

hell yeah, Harry just rushed his ass when he was on his bike. I could see Venom not being able to be detected, but Harry??? WTF

wasnt it said htta they wanted to have gwen in the final fight but then they changed it to MJ?

I agree. It would've been so awesome :wow: Umm...but then Gwen would know about his secret identity.

dont flame me for this, but i dont think the dancing was WTF,well it was kinda, they could have used something else either than dancing, but it shows with the symbiote, pete doesnt give a crap about anything

ya a random post i know

so in terms of wtf,id say its half and half

parker's dancing was one of the best parts of the film

it was certainly better than the fights

So you liked Batman & Robin cause it was just a comic book movie :woot: :woot: ??

Batman & Robin had crappy dialogue and acting. That's why I hated it. Has nothing to do with the character origins or even the more comicbooky moments. The movie all around was just crap and nothing like the comic at all. Just wish hollywood directors would understand that comic book does not mean nonsenseical (SP?). Lots and lots of coincidences, sure, but I think that can be said for any medium and genre or else there'd be no story.

Seriously, tell me what they could have done at that point? In fact, what would you do if you were in their situation?

And I think it was pretty obvious that Brock didn't care too much.

"HEY SPIDEY! Thankgodyou'realrightbytheway. Hey spidey, smile for the camera!"

Because the Police Captain is paying respects to a hero. He's the police captain and she's the police captain's daughter. I think that pretty much does it.

Sandman drops into a experiment in the middle of the night and a machine transforms him into sandman.......that scene was just dumb it would of been better if the project was already in the progress( with the things spinning already) and the he trips and falls in

Meteor drops out of the sky right where peter bike is...

peter kiss his hot lab partner gwen in front of a huge crowd with mary jane watching and he wanted to propose to MJ later on that night...

Air Sandman....

So it makes no sense that he falls in BEFORE the experiment starts but it would make perfect sense if he fell in DURING?...

I don't get this complaint. That meteor could have landed anywhere in the world. It just happened to be that spot. I'd complain if it landed in his hands or went through his bedroom window or something.

Yeah, that was flat out dumb of the character.

Why was that dumb? Because he never did it before? Sand can be carried in the wind. It's actually pretty smart and rather cool. Scary even. A living sandstorm.

I agree. Not even about insult the audience's intelligence.

I think the SAME for SM3. Difference, is that SM3 is the most expensive movie of the story. And it's totally a WASTE. No trolling here, B&R could be inspired from Adam West's series. If you don't justify it, i think for coerence that you neither can't justify the great flaws of SM3, that are pretty equals to B&R flaws: a weak story based on coincidences, characters reinvencted, poor acting, ridicolous lines, all except action and cg was horrible :csad:

Eh, it's your opinion but comic books were pretty much built on coincidences. If it weren't for those same coincidences we'd have fewer heroes and villains running around. It's just how these things happen in a medium where people gain powers from spider-bites and getting hit by nuclear weapons.

The characters were pretty faithful. Don't see what was so reinvented about them besides maybe their looks. And the me the acting and dialogue is nowhere near "FREEZE IN HELL BATMAN!".

I suggest you to read the John August (Burton's screenwriter) topic.
Peter bited by spider is a coincidence who's a premise, and it could be ok.
Eddie being in the same church of Peter becoming Venom is really too much.. you can use some coincidences as premise, or several coincidences for minor story points, but you cannot build an entire story that's all based on coincidences to accept "just because".

Characters in SM3 were no SO faithful like prequels: Eddie is not a bastard, is a dumb. Sandman has not humor. Peter is cathatonic unless the prequels and unless the comic.

Think about the structure way of SM3 pretend to be taken and you'll find that he's not SO different from B&R. He's better of course, because of CG and actions (wondeful, i admit).

My WTF moment is just a silly idiotic one but it kind of bothers me I guess.

Here's the scene, two young people, in the year 2007. Getting together, having fun, cooking dinner, and they're listening to Chubby Checker's The Twist?

Huh?

I just don't see someone about 23 willingly listening to that. It didn't need to be Black Eye'd Peas (thank God it wasn't) but this just seemed not very believable.

The Big Band ballads didn't bother me, but the twist did. Odd, I know.

Huh. Well it's a pretty popular song, no matter the generation. I have it on my ipod and I'm 20 and listen to Godsmack.
