The WTF Moments Of Spider-Man 3

Well, I think they nailed Venom. He needed to be in it more though. Eddie should've been introduced in Spider-Man 2. I loved the screentime Venom had though. I'm not complaining. It could've been terrible but it wasn't so yeah.

Now, how does Venom know everything about Peter? Because since the Symbiote was attached to Peter in the comics, it gains all this info from Peter. When Eddie gets it, the info transfers. It also blocks Peter's Spider-Sense and of course, gave Eddie all of Spider-Man's powers.
Simple.
How does he know stuff about Flint Marko? I have no idea. I know he knew who Flint was because Spider-Man had. He knew Spider-Man was having issues with Flint because of the Symbiote's info transfer to Brock. But I really don't get how he knows about Flint's daughter and all that. Really, that was a big hole.

Unless it was a lucky guess of Eddie lol.

On the time Venom was on the screen, he was nice. But he was also incredbly unecessary. And thanks for claryfing half of my part about Venom knowing everything.

As a side note, I must say all these wtf moments don't ruin the movie for me. Tobey, Kirsten and James redeem it with the wonderful character moments. I love it.

Stan Lee cameos in just about every marvel film and his presents is usually minor enough to not matter. I don't get your complaint here.

-The transformation of ALL the villains. When I was getting used to the idea I was watching the movie, PUFF Harry becomes the goblin in 10 seconds.

You shouldn't have been surprised by this. The last movie sets it up for Harry to become the Goblin.

Then the asteroid. WTF?

Its about as random as every other event in comics. A radioactive spider coming from nowhere. A blast of cosmic rays coming from nowhere. ect. Pretty much every hero in marvel received their powers by a random event unless they're mutants.

And then Sandman. Seriously, it was embarassing. Poorly accomplished. Unbelievable.

How was that any different from how Hulk got his powers? Do you hate Hulks origin too.

-Venom's voice.

-The onipresent Gwen. (did she really need to be involved in everything? Chemistry, modeling, kissing, dancing, everything?)

I don't get the complaint. You want her to be ordinary with nothing special about her?

What?! That was one of the best scenes in this movie or the next.

-Venom knowing everything about Parker, Marko, the Pope and the global warming crisis. Huh?

Yeah. They pretty much make it so you would need pre existing comic book knowledge to know Venom gets all of Peters memories from the symbiot. The symbiot carries the knowledge of the previous host to the next. And yeah, him knowing of Sandmans daughter is a huge plothole.

I share your exact same opinion of Spider-Man 3. I thought everything or atleast most everything about it was craptastic and it sucked at every turn.

Mary Jane is whining about the critics bashing her role in the show, and telling Peter Parker, in his normal everyday clothes, that was something her father would write (wtf?), and all of a sudden, a broadcast goes out about a steel crane on the loose, and, Pete who was wearing normals clothes just moments before is suddenly wearing the Spiderman outfit in less than one second! WTF!

Eddie Brock: Oh my God--that's Gwen.

(Gwen's father snatches the camera out of his hand and looks into it, as if it was a binnocular)

Gwen's Father: Who are you?

Eddie Brock: I'm Eddie Brock Jr, Sir. Oh, and I'm dating your daughter (while the daughter is clinging for her life, and is about to die)

(Wow, seriously, some atrocious dialouge here)

Another scene is where Sandman flings the cop behind him, and the he goes crashing into the front windshield of some woman's car; the woman is screaming hysterically, yet her lips are not even opened. Her mouth was not even moving, WTF?? That was some serious, horrible editing by Saimi's crew. Ugh.

Well in Spider-Man 1 the movie showed MJ's father as being verbally abusive and a bad parent. When her family was always screaming at one another. In Spider-Man 2, MJ even said something that her father came to her show... "to borrow some money", rather than going because he was proud of her.

1.Mary Jane said it reminded her of something her father would say (if you've seen the first two movies you'd know why) and Pete where's the suit underneath his clothes most of the time (he was waiting for the police scanner after all).

2.What else was he supposed to say? That is quite an awkward way to meet your girlfriend's dad. I thought it was pretty funny.

3. I didn't even notice this so I can't comment.

biggest WTF moment...? probably the two little kids sitting in front of me saying something stupid anytime something dramatic happens... Peter kisses MJ on the web.. "EWWWWWW..." Peter sees news broadcast with MJ trapped in taxi they scream "PUT THE RED SUIT ON!!!!!!!!" then he does so they start cheering... just before harry dies one of them said "THIS IS THE PART THAT THE HARRY GUY DIES!" seriously is there any better wat to spoil a movie...

wow, this is realy shallow comment. i hate all the crying comments, i mean for realdo *****, cryings a natural human emotion....i mean realy, his best friend was trying to kill him, he found out the guy who killed his uncle is still around,MJ left him for no apparent reason in his eyes(the centeral park bridge scene, harry made her do it), he back handed the woman hes loved since the 4th grade, his best friend died, oh and also he found out he killed the wrong guy in the 1st movie and the cops are gunna probably be after him...lol

What the guy he thought killed Uncle Ben? He didn't want to save him, Peter was filled with pure anger as he thought this guy killed his Uncle. Peter also at the time was going through a moment of ego and confidence after winning the wrestling and was still pissed from being screwed over by the promoter. Basically Pete had a lot of emotions going through him at the time, and it became a bit overwhelming.

4. The way he tells it is ridiculous. And abrupt. If he told something more suitable and smoothy like : "I waited the good time to interfer in your affairs since I didn't want to shock you because I love you and your father, I waited until you to decrease the sorrow you have before telling you the real cause of your father's death."
No, it had to be sharp and fast because Spidey needed help, though even with this easy line, Harry got time before arriving...

5. Like someone said, too much Schumacher here. But then, it was short, so less stupid. It could be to make sure the set up would work, because Marko attacked the cop trying to pass on Venom. But finally, all it comes down to is cash. A commercial hit in that fighting scene. Though it was really an enjoyable scene. Even if Flint Marko grew to become the Marshmallow Monster in Ghostbusters!!!!

6. Definately poor plug. Especially since they introduced Jameson's son and his travel in space in part 2. The way it was shown in the animated series. They probably thought about it, but the movie is already 2h20 long, so for a summer hit, it is enough. Perhaps a director's cut... let's hope.

Sorry to resurrect this old post, I hope nobody replied to it, I only read the first two pages and the last. Here goes

- Peter being able to take the suit off and on no problem, then has to rip it off in the belltower. - Further addition = His random "i'll go up to the top of the church to think, in full on spidey outfit just to take it off there.

Nothing to add to the last sentence, I couldn't agree more. It makes no sense. But for the suit, perhaps it could go off because the symbiote felt Peter would put it back, though would still live with it. But at the end, Peter wants to definately separate from it, so the symbiote feels to be torn apart and then get weak without the mutual relationship it has with Peter. I look stupid telling this, but that,s how the symbiote is. A super alien. Yay

- Why Uncle Ben always looked like he was crying when he was sitting in the car in flashbacks.

It was short after the issue he had with Peter. He could have felt alone and also that he failed as a father figure. the crying is acceptable here.

- OH! and the most major thing of all. Pumpkin bomb blows up....and harry becomes Two-face. I was 1/2 (pun intended) expecting Batman to show up and whoop his ass.

Not to mention, he lived from that hideous explosion after getting his azz ravaged by Peter. And furthermore if anyone else here has ever played with fire you know the first thing that ignites is hair. Yet Mr. Franco kept it all. *sigh* Godbless Nolan and his realism.
