Theorize on the final ep

I feel it is absolutely necessary, for a successful finale, to see Tom in the suit for at least half of the ep. A shirt rip or a 1 min shot of him standing on the DP rooftop or floating with the sun behind him will not cut it. There has been too much build up from the past ten years and too many teases to just give us more of the same and call it an epic finale. With that said, I've never thought about how I would like the last few minutes to go and last night I did. This is what I got...

Clark would defeat Darkseid in a big battle while wearing the suit for the first time. This will be the moment that he reveals himself to the city and everyone is looking up at him in the sky. Some in awe, some cheering, and Clark would then shoot off into the sky before it cuts to a commercial. The next scene would be Clark alone in his barn loft, maybe packing some family photos in picture frames to take with him to his Metropolis apartment that he now shares with his wife Lois. This will be when he sees maybe his old Smallville high yearbooks or just some old objects that have significance to Clark and the Smallville audience to shout out to the beginning of the journey. As the audience is caught up reminiscing with Clark, Martha walks up the stairs with a folded newspaper in her hands. She opens it as she hands it to Clark and says something like "Your father would be so proud." The headline would read something like the one in Homecoming with Lois officially dubbing Clark Superman. He would then have a small conversation with his mother about the road he has taken and the man he turned into. After the talk Martha would reach over to the desk in the loft and pick up the glasses that Clark had started to wear hopefully 3 or 4 episodes prior to the finale and hand them to him. Cut to the DP, a quick one line or two to Lois about his new superhero name. Maybe in the middle of a kiss he hears a disturbance and Lois gives him a knowing smile. Clark heads to the phone booth, elevator, outside or wherever and removes his glasses and THEN we end with a shirt rip into the camera right on the S. Credits

I want it to be a 2 hour thing:
1st Hour will feature JLA(Impulse/Flash,Aquaman, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Cyborg, Martian Manhunter(maybe glimpses of his martian form), Zatanna and Clark Kent/The Blur) and maybe some JSA, Legionaires and other heroes fights all of darkseid forces as well as the hero haters. as we
We see how Clark choose his reporter disguise
we see darkseid appearing and destroys places like Metropolis, etc
Clark fought Darksied fights him as the Blur but looses
Godfrey, Granny Goodness, Desadd, and Furies and other henchmen are taking control
Clark goes to the fortress and he say it's time and Clark accepts his kryptonian and human side which he thinks makes him a better man
Clark at the end of the first hour wears Superman costume
2nd Hour:
Clark more or less like JLU Superman at the series finale not holding back and going all out on Darkseid and starts flying
Clark reveal that Darkseid that he has been holding back and sends him and his disciples back to Apokolips.
we see the JLA aligning themselves with the comics and glimpses them saving people in the respective cities(Bart being a Keystone City CSI Rookie and now goes as the Flash, Aquaman is king of Atlantis, Dinah and Ollie might be dating or a shoutout to Ollie being a womanizer as a shoutout to the comics if Chloe isn't there, Etc)

we see random people's thoughts about Blur going public and maybe we will see Bibbo Bibbowski, or Snapper Carr
Lex(hopefully Rosenbaum) is back and ma
we see the JLA in the watchtower realizing what it really means to be a team of heroes and maybe Bart can name them the Justice League of America and Martian Manhunter, Dinah and Clark likes it, Ollie thinks it sounds like a Ball Group, etc and maybe then hints go on a mission against Starro, Lex Luthor, or the Appelaxians
the ending is probally similar to Salvation 2013 future and Homecoming 2017 future, Other origins ending like Earth One, Birthright, Secret Origin, etc where Clark is wearing glasses and wrote a great interview about Superman and probally revealing the JLA's existance and it's member and Lois names him.
We see Jimmy being a copy boy/photographer talking with Jeff Hage and hints of Jimmy and Clark being friends
Cat Grant, Steve Lombard and Ron Troupe
Perry White becomes editor in cheif
we see Clark in his superman outfit talking to Lois ending with a kiss
and we see Clark as Superman starts flying

This is simply beautiful. This is pretty much my ideal finale.

If I could just add a few details to what you wrote.
Right before the fight we see Darkseid causing major destruction around the city, and there's a panic among the people that they've never experienced before. THEN we see the slow motion money shot of Superman in a smooth elegant way floating down to the street. The people see for the first time, face to face who the Blur really is, and the camera focuses on their reactions, with people saying "it's the Blur". I really do think it would've been an epic sequence, followed by an even more epic fight.

In the barn when he sees the Smallville yearbooks, he would just sit down in that couch of his and we'd see quick flashbacks to his childhood years. His parents first and foremost, with focus on Pa Kent, followed by quickly going through how he discovered his powers, all of them. Then Lana, Chloe, Pete, the building of the Fortress, his many confrontations with the various villains through the years and so on.
This would be shown with the camera focusing on Clark and we'd move between the flashbacks and Clark smiling, and then as he closes the yearbook, it's telling the audience that this part of his life is over, but he packs it to take with him to remind him that he is the man he is because of it, and it will never be forgotten.

The rest just as you wrote it.

This is great stuff :) I particularly like him packing his stuff in the barn (to prepare to move in with Lois in Metropolis) and all the old photos/etc causing him to reminisce.

That would be neat thought with sv so close to metropolis in this verison really isn't any need for clark to move lol. But I have always wished they did move lois/chloe/clark to metropolis back in season 8.

all i know is we MUST have a two hour finale to do the show any justice.

Totally I really hope cw will give it to them. If there is any issue with say supernatural episode either air there finale week before or after sv.

my ideal ending would be a shot of superman on the daily planet roof then shoot over to a scene where lex "micheal" is looking at him with utter hatred and then gives us one of his famous evil smiles!.... scene ends, goes to black screen and we see... to be continued! :applaud

He gets punched out by Batman, who has taken ten years of prep-time.

That was a joke, Fixxxer.

We all know we can't get Batman. "I'm Batman and I can breathe in space." "No, you can't!" "I'm Batman."

The cast will wake up and the last ten years will all have been a dream:D

I doubt they would ever pull a lost/st. Elsewhere ending for the show.

Here's my two cents: the two-part finale should be Ultimate Good vs. Ultimate Evil that brings in the full debut of Superman to save the world from the reign of Darkseid.

There was this podcast that gave their idea on how the show would end, and I liked it so much that since I agreed with it, I want to share it: the finale should be a poetic ending towards the pilot, and that is; Darkseid sending a third meteor shower to Earth (as the main or last gambit of his plan) and Superman saves the day (though I hope its after his debut and we have a good dose of him in costume before this happens).

Let me explain the poetic ending: the show's first meteor shower was the foundation of the show, bringing in Clark, setting up Lex, Lana, Smallville, kryptonite, and later Krypton, Jor-El, etc. The show's second meteor shower began Clark's adulthood journey, which also had the show embody the Superman mythos and the mythos of the DC Universe. It would be poetic, and almost criminal if they didn't, if a third meteor shower happened, and because of our latest and show's final villain, that would cap off the show and thus end the storyline on how Clark became Superman.

Plus, it would be a major first thanks to the show, to have Superman debut fighting Darkseid in an origin story. Because, and this goes right back to the Pilot with the Clark's scarecrow scene, Clark has been seen on the show as a Christ-like figure as well as a force of good, and with Darkseid as a devil figure and a force of evil, that would also be poetic for the finale doing a callback to the show's first episode.

Oh yeah, Part 1 should be called "Destiny" while Part 2 and the show's Series Finale should be titled "Superman". That's what I want.

Suit flight darksied JLA/JSA 2 full hours no commercials. Superfight of the century.:yay::yay:

Well, I know a lot of people want the JLA in the final episode, but I don't. I want the final Episode to be all about Supes. I think John Snyder expressed interest in being in the final episode and wanted to be the one to put the cape on him. I kinf od liked that idea. MAybe not the last scene. I agree no one minute of him in the costume. There needs to be a whole battle with him as Superman. US loyal fans that have watched this show for 10 years and have been teased with the costume deserve it.

I'd like to see Lex return for the final episode. After he defeats Darkseid in a battle that reveals Superman to the world we get the emotional look back on his life in the loft and then at the daily planet he has a scene with his wife who is running off to do a story and everything seems right with the world. Then the whistling starts and it's Lex's voice calling Superman out. He runs into the phone booth rips open the shirt and roll credits.

That's some of the stuff I'd like to see.

some nice ideas there blinker i wouldnt be against any of it.

I have one last idea to share (well, that's a lie) on Lex: if Rosenbaum doesn't appear, then my idea is to have Lex in the final moments of the Series Finale. It will be in the Luthor Corp main office, with either E2 Lionel or Tess (depends on what happens to either of them, and whos in charge for the time being) looking outside, and the seen in shot dark. Then a man appears, tells the person; thank you, but this is his company and their services are no longer required, and he shoots that person dead. Then the last shot of that scene is the man looking out the window, from behind, and we see that the man is bald, revealing: Lex Luthor.

That's all they have to do if Rosenbaum doesn't show up, and I think that'll be enough. Hell, even for a scene like this, they could just ask Rosenbaum for his voice so we can hear him say some lines. But the one thing that could, maybe not, but could go against this would have to be that one episode coming up that is hinted to be based on the Luthor II clone from the comics for their Luthor clone on the show. But again, maybe not...

I just wanted to reaffirm again: Clark has to be Superman, flying and in costume, in the Series Finale epsidoe itself, not the ending. Maybe even the ending of the Part 1/second to last episode of Season 10 to set up the Finale. There are alot of reasons, but here's the one I think many would agree on: the show has strayed from its original premise. With the show's plot said like this; "The adventures of Clark Kent before he became Superman", general speaking it sounds like the show would have to, and suppose to, end where Clark goes to Metropolis for his first day at Metropolis, and then become Superman. Obviously, that is not the case now, and Clark is at the Planet now, the "S" is all over the place, its Lois and Clark; there's no way to say this: it's just dumb. The idea of not having Superman until the final scene, when we have gone through all this now, is just dumb. I don't think the producers have to be to blame, because hit shows won't go away, they stay on regardless. But the thing is: just have Tom fly and in the suit in the Finale episode, and not have it be a final scene but the full episode; delaying it, keeping the rules longer than they should've kept them, its all stupid. And it will be bad if they don't do this, after 10 years being on the air.
