So basically Raw tonight has the same reaction as in a Charlotte Bobcats game....silence.

I missed most of Raw but hey guys can you believe triple h didn't retire, i thought for sure he was retiring cause he quit after summerslam then the next night he came out all sad.
:whatever:

Yeah he mainly did the heelish opportunity tactic.

I liked the staredown, no fear shown from CM Punk. Hope it stays that way.

It was very Miz-ish.

Yeah it worked well and I think it was wise not to have Taker shown too clearly and keeping his robes on.

I think we now have a clear view of what the Mania card will look like.

WWE Title Match
Rock vs Cena

The Streak vs The Longest reigning champion in 25 years
The Undertaker vs CM Punk

*****ebag egomaniac gets his win back match
Burials vs Brock Lesnar

WHC Match
Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger

The Shield vs Orton, Sheamus and Big Show

Ryback vs Mark Henry

------------------------------

Possibles?

Ziggler vs Jericho

Team Hell No vs The New Age Outlaws. :D

I honestly don't see anything for Cesaro and Barrett right now and the Divas champ barely makes SD never mind Raw or Mania.

You really hate HHH. :funny:

Anyway,

Also, when are they going to make something of the mid tier titles, or did they forget about the intercontinental and US titles?

Is Ceasaro still in a Feud with the Miz if so I'm sure he will defend the US title once again against the Miz as far Wade I Don't know I thought they were going for a Wade vs.SHeamus match at WM but since that might be off the table maybe they bring Bo Dallas back in to continue his feud with Wade Barrett?

This has the potential for entertainment, especially when he gets on his daily rages:

https://***********/VinceMcMahon

Yeah whoever created that Twitter already broke character, they're following Zack Ryder and CM Punk.

.......like Vince would care about their opinions.

Who is Jericho going to face at WM Ziggler maybe but it would make more since if Jericho teams with Orton and Sheamus rather than Big Show.

I think Jericho and Ziggler is a real possibility for Mania. I also see something being done with the tag belts. Everyone else probably won't make the card.

You really hate HHH. :funny:

The funny thing is I used to be a big fan and actually was one of the few in here that defended him up until 2008.

WWE need to give them one last run.

Also, when are they going to make something of the mid tier titles, or did they forget about the intercontinental and US titles?

They can never make anything of those belts if they keep using the champions as jobbers for the ME guys, back in the day it was rare you ever saw the IC champ vs the WWE champ and if it happened it was a big deal, not a throw away TV match.

If you mean for Mania I think Cesaro has an outside chance of getting on the card but I don't see Barrett getting a match.

If this Fri's SmackDown! goes like its gonna go, Dolph Ziggler will end up in that match and it'll become a Triple Threat Match!!!

My guess is Dolph will job to Del Rio as he has the last 3 times they had this match.

Who is Jericho going to face at WM Ziggler maybe but it would make more since if Jericho teams with Orton and Sheamus rather than Big Show.

Ziggler seems the most likely person for him to face but it could be Ziggler and Langston vs Team Hell No and perhaps Jericho can face Cesaro.

Damn Rey Mysterio is so injury prone.

Rey Mysterio posted the following today on Twitter…
Good morning!About to C the man, Doc. James Andrews… Things haven’t been good since I stepped back in the ring, possibly Acl tear again!

Ouch! Rey needs to retire or only make special appearances.

Thats what makes the WWE product right now and the midcard so mediocre. THats why I have little interest in Wrestlemania 29 too. No effort is put in or they wait until the last minute and throw some matches together that--in the end--are forgettable and fans don't care about. Manias always had filler matches but now MOST of the under and midcard matches are filler. Even the Midcard title matches seem like an afterthought. The WHC match seems like an afterthought.

Its possible. In recent years I've enjoyed Extreme Rules AND MITB more than the Manias of the last two years. I still can't believe they wasted the first singles main roster Cena vs Batista match on a PPV that WASN'T Wrestlemania.

Exactly. I saw some people come into this thread tonight because they saw the old school theme and it got their attention. It's one of the many reasons not to have a throwaway show. Some of the main event feuds moved forward , but I still have questions about the midcard. This needs to be resolved shortly.

Otherwise I'm loving the old school theme. The guardrails, the mats, the apron, the big RAW letters at the entrance. Awesome. The old Raw theme music with the early 90's USA network Silk Stalkings horn at the end brings back a lot of memories.

It's really cool to see this every once in a while. If they put massive effort into one of these specials it could probably sell on dvd/blu ray. Hearing the music again is very surreal.

RAW thoughts.

I liked the way they set up Undertaker vs CM Punk. It makes sense for more people to want a shot at Taker's streak and Punk gains more momentum from winning the fatal four way.

Ryback vs Cesaro was a good match. Also cool to see Ryback kicked into the guardrail and a nice reversal for the finish.

Tweets across the screen , Ryder joining the hall of pain , and Miz doing the worst impression of Flair's strut I've ever seen.. ugh.

Did Cena just blame Rock for his divorce :lmao:

It was good mic work from the both of them and I think Rock has gotten better. It felt like something was missing though. Cena turning heel would make it so much better. I could see him cheating to win.

I really enjoyed seeing Ted Dibiase , Honky Tonk , The New Age Outlaws, Rosa Mendes ( hot damn!) and Punk ruining Mae's birthday celebration.

im finding it difficult to get excited about Mania, I mean I know Cena will win and I know Taker will win, so thats already annoying knowing the outcomes and that my 2 fav wrestlers are gonna lose

They must've handed those shirts out to people as they came in.

There are people who still wear nWo shirts,I sometimes see men in their late 20's/early 30's in my town wearing them,Perhaps those dudes knew it was perfect to wear the shirts for this show or even got the idea from the WWE'13 game where people in the Attitude Era crowd wear nWo shirts.

IZiggler vs Jericho

Team Hell No vs The New Age Outlaws. :D
These would be the only 2 potential matches I'd be pissed off for missing. But the rest of that card is not worth trekking to Jersey for.

True, WWE has to know people at least suspect these outcomes. Perhaps they will at least spice it up.

Cena on the edge of losing to the Rock yet again cheats in some way small or large to win either turning him fully or at least setting it up.

CM Punk will put on a good match, going all out, almost winning. But once he wins out comes Lesnar to beat the "holy hell" out of the Undertaker (giving Undertaker his yearly 8 months off).

Perhaps he attacks CM Punk as well because Hyman is tired of Punk Losing the big matches.

Would be nice.. but Cena will win, Rock will shake his hand.

Taker will win, leave. CM Punk will complain on RAW.

I'm glad I didn't stay up for much of Raw, saw the first half hour then called a night.
Was nice to see the old school intro, prefer that W logo to the one they use now, looks classic and fits today image of its for the kids, as it was pre-attitude.

Build up to Taker/Punk was nice.

Miz/Flair was crap, as soon as Ric came out I knew Miz was gonna win meaning Ziggler having to job to another nobody for another week.

Rock/Cena had it moments though as normal Cena seems to ramble on and on and on that I just turn out in my head until someone else speaks.
I don't see how or why he needs redemption, the guy has had more wins/titles handed to him in decades, yet feels like lost his way! He was still headlining PPV's over the actual Champion.
I'd would be nice if Rock just wins again then Cena has to know he isn't the man, just a merch man. The crowd can't stand him, he got an awful reception last night and it will be even worse at WM, if he does get the belt back my interests in Raw will drop alot until they do something good with him.

Also does Vince hate the English?!
Why is Barrett getting such a jobbing lately, he is the IC Champion, remember when that meant something, the stepping stone to the big time. No Englishman has ever got past mid card with Vince around. Wade is in a film yet loses, Miz is in a straight to dvd 3 in the series POS and he gets a win over the WITB winner and has Nature Boy with him .... I get the feeling Miz might be letting Vince play with his future wife!

I think we now have a clear view of what the Mania card will look like.

That card is so depressing. The only match I actually care about is the main event! I definitely won't be ordering Rematchamania and I think it will actually surpass Wrestlemania 27 in the Worst Wrestlemanias listing.

Re: Punk Vs. Undertaker

Had Undertaker done the right thing and put over Punk three years ago, I would've been excited for this match, but they didn't so I couldn't care less as I once again get to see CM Punk lose to a 47 year old man whose long overstayed his welcome.

I was looking forward to finally getting Sheamus Vs. Undertaker and they blew it...

Re: Best of Nitro Volume 2

Lots of goodies on this set. Its certainly better than Volume 1 such as this gem:

2738152:jpeg_preview_large.jpg

March 23rd 1998. Louisville, KY. Champion Vs. Champion.

The United States Champion, Diamond Dallas Page, walks down the aisle beltless (Raven had stolen it from him during an interview on MTV) after challenging The Man Called Sting for the Big Gold Belt in a PPV calibur bout for this edition of Monday Nitro.

The Icon enters next with an endless gaze with the WCW Championship over his shoulder. After sizing each other up, we get a great back and forth match with lots of reversals in front of a hot crowd. After it was all and done, Sting retained after countering The original People's Champion's finisher with his own only to help DDP get back on his feet before giving the Diamond Cutter hand gesture as a sign of respect before Page returned the favor by hugging the man who defeated him as well as raising the arm of the better man.

15 years later after watching it live and its just as good as I remember it and that's why its my favorite WCW TV match of all-time.

The biggest surprise of this set was seeing quite a handful of Jeff Jarrett matches. Hell, even one of the Blu-Ray exclusives is Double J attacking newly crowned WCW Champion Bret Hart. Despite JJ holding up Vince for more money (and rightfully so) as well as being involved with TNA, I don't think JJ is blacklisted from WWE anymore.

I just wish they would stop dubbing over Goldberg's WCW theme. Sh**'s annoying!

Re: Bret Hart: Dungeon Collection

When Bret Hart had his previous DVD set released in 2005, there was nothing, but brutal honesty from him as well as some unease after burying the hatchet with Vince.

Fast forward to now with The elder, but dignified Hitman picking up where he left off. This time with him having peace of mind. He goes over these handpicked matches (I forgot how good the KOTR match with Diesel was!) before they're shown and he also tells some great stories like a grandfather would about the days of yore.

I really enjoyed this layout and hope for more Unreleased Matches from other great Superstars giving their thoughts on their past work. The presentation ends with Bret doing what any wrestling fan would do: staying at home watching classic matches on a big ass HDTV! :D

They really do hate Zack Ryder for getting himself over. lol
Hard to imagine he was US Champ. Ryder has been jobbing more than Heath Slater
You think it's a coincidence that you won the wrestling thread and I won the royal rumble?
If by coincidence John means Vince plan all along :cwink:
I think a heel turn is coming. Maybe not now, but at Wrestlemania.
Cena is never going to turn heel. I have given up on that ever happening.

It would be epic if Cena beat the Rock and turned Heel but its not going to happen. As long as Cena is in the WWE he is going to have the same character he has now.
Poor Heath...I'm a Slater mark. (Yeah, I'm the one)
I like Slater atleast his entertaining. I would rather watch him then Santino.
lol.. loved the fan yelling out JOHNNY CURTIS
made me laugh too :funny:
Solid match but you'll never convince me that jobbing out your US and IC champions clean in meaningless matches makes any sense.
It doesn't.

WWE can have Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Cesaro, Miz, Ziggler and so on talk all they want about bringing prestige back to those titles but if you continue to book those champs like trash it means nothing.
Punk is so good at being a dick.
so funny :lmao:

Dirtbag Punk is funny

slowly watching highlights during work

New Age Outlaws!!!!!! loved seeing them again, great tag team, and hey they still got it!

Rock Cena build - still just bored by Cena no mtter what he says or does, Rock bought some good intensity IMO
