Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Theta Protocol and the AoS / AoU connection (spoilers)

No, he didn't. The crew of the Helicarrier was a just a group of temporarily assembled former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

I think that Fury only borrowed the Helicarrier from Coulson.

There is no concrete word on this yet.

As it seems, or rather as I perceive it, Theta Protocol was salvaging and repairing the Helicarrier from TA for re-instatement (in this case, as back up to the Avengers). Coulson is director, the Helicarrier is run by Fury with SHIELD crew (non temporary, probably recruited by Phil and/or Fury) and Hill is now back with SHIELD, not the Avengers.

Until we are shown or told otherwise, that's how I view it.

Would've been an awesome and subtle nod if one of the extras on the Hellicarrier in AoU had been a Koenig brother.

Its pretty clear that the movies aren't going to make any references to the TV show. Only the other way around.

It makes sense because the TV show has a much smaller audience. You can't expect that the movie audience will have watched the show. Even many die-hard MCU fans on this forum don't watch the show.

But you CAN assume that all or most of the TV viewers have seen the movies which is why the references will only go one way.
Yeah, I know. I certainly wouldn't have expected it to have happened, and given the circumstances, AoS did a great job of integrating themselves into AoU as best they could.

Still, they wouldn't have had to draw attention to the fact he was there in the background, so it wouldn't have slowed down the narrative or made things confusing for non-AoS-viewers. At the same time, the long leadtime in the schedule makes it hard, even if they'd wanted to do something like that (which, by all accounts, they don't).

What was all bunk beds and stuff for? Was it for the new base in Age of Ultron?

It's either for that or the Helicarrier.

I would imagine if they want people to be able to rest/sleep on the helicarrier they would want them.

Well, yes, since all (or most) of SHIELD's secrets were leaked.
Coulson was legally dead when those secrets were leaked, and TAHITI was never in what was leakable, so the Avengers still wouldn't know.
Of course, if any videos were taken of the showdown with Mike Peterson at Union Station (1st episode), and the videos went viral, they might know.

I was pretty disappointed in the Theta Protocol reveal. I suppose I just let my hopes get to high for an Avengers Acadamy.

what ever him andrew and skye have going in the last episode can it not be taken for granted that he basically lied to nushield and they where not far wrong about theta protocol.
