Seriously, it's only the next logical step for Batman's arsenal. Oh god, I can't wait to start getting scenes of Bale's Batman sitting in front of those giant monitors...:)

Don't call it a batcomputer, but he definitly needs it.

Okay, and I'll just refer to Batman as "The Man" now. And in thise hyperrealistic version, he doesn't wear a bat costume, and doesn't fight villians called the Joker and Scarecrow, and doesn't fight ninjas.

It's called the Batcomputer. Deal with it.:o

No, its not.

Its called a computer. And Batman happens to use it.

God everyone puts the word Bat along with anything Batman uses now...

No it's not. It's called the batcomputer, just like his car is called the batmobile, his plane called the batplane, his boat called the batboat, etc etc. Pick up the ultimate guide to Batman, any of the comics, any of the toys, and any other merchandise and they will support this. And even if it's never refered to as the "batcomputer" in the new movie, that doesn't mean we can't call it that when talking about the film. You know, so we don't have to refer to it as,"the computer batman just happens to use" all the time.

If they aren't calling the Tumbler "the batmoble", they are most likely not calling his computer the "batcomputer".

Yeah, but it was still referred to as the batmobile on the merchandise and by most viewers. I don't recall them ever referring to it as the tumbler after he painted it black and started driving it around as Batman. I don't understand what is so bad about the batmobile. People give nicknames to their stuff all the time. Maybe it's just something him and Alfred toss around for fun, or something the police dubbed it. Same thing as when they called him,"a clown in a costume".

Do you even like Batman? Seriously.

Just cuz we dont like tacky names for Batmans possessions doesnt mean we dont like Batman.

Batcomputer is pathetic... i mean.. i understand Batmobile.. but Batcomputer? Just cuz he uses it you have to add a Bat?

Im sorry but no.

This is what seperates Batman Begins from the tacky B89. *prepares to get ambushed*

Yeah..not necessarily a bat computer..but A computer I wouldn't mind...I just don't want things he uses to automatically have Bat in front of the name....like for Batman Begins...we don't call it the Batmobile...we call it the Tumbler...

Calm down. I honestly don't expect them to call it the batcomputer in the movie, but it's how I've always refered to it and have heard it refered as. Seriously, are we suposed to say,"the super computer batman uses" all the time??? We're not characters in the movie.

And what's this about people not calling the tumbler the batmobile? And why do people refer to the tumbler as the "new batmobile" if it's not considered the batmobile???

I was just saying they wont, looking back it kinda looked like I was referring to you, should have worded it better, my bad, but he shouldn't name everything he owns "bat-blank" IE: Bat-Creditcard in B&R, it's campy.

Well I agree, it would come off as campy in this version of Batman. But, people give their cars names all the time. Women name their breasts. There's no reason Bruce can't refer to it as the "batmobile" in jest, or even if he's proud owning a badass set of wheels.

i actually thought the bat-credit card was charming and gave me a little chuckle ^___^

but it would only work in Schumacker's batman

and btw, women dont name their breast...wtf??!

I think it's Batplane in the comics, Batwing in the movies.
I may be wrong though

"Plane that batman flies" in Nolan's version. :)

Naming everything just seems too metrosexual for Batman. Same as putting his logo on everything too. I mean, what happens if he loses it? It it so that they can be returned to him or something?

In fact, the comics have thrown more fanboy flame-age on Robin by blaming the naming of everything on him. Poor Robin, kid can never get a break.

And, let me ask you.....how large should this thing be? I mean....can't a laptop work? I don't think he needs a giant bigscreen in the cave.

I want his Bat-PC to be this big...

about the thread title....i'm pretty sure alfred alluded to that...the modifications for the batcave....if they show the batcave with his super computers and constant servaillance of Gotham and a landing pad for the batmobile...it would just be awesome...i think Nolan and Goyer could have so much fun with this script.

Don't forget the batcopter with the bat-ladder that can lower batman down so he can use the bat-shark-repellant-spray on the shark that's biting his batleg. Okay, batleg was made up, but all the rest of those were from the 60's Batman show. That's what you get when you put the word bat in front of everything.

But yeah, I would like to see some computer system down in the Batcave (it IS a batcave, it's a cave, with bats). It shouldn't be too unrealisticly large, but several monitors and a large console would be nice. Perhaps it could grow as sequels progress and as he establishes more ways to hack into various computer databases.

I hope we get to see the 'Bat-Toothbrush', 'Bat-Chair' and 'Bat-Novelty Pen' in this one.....
