Things you'd like to like... But don't.

Problem? Yes. You're making a pretty sweeping value call here and it's coming off a little immature.
Most smokers are out on the street these days, anyways... Not hurting anyone around them. The ones that aren't smoke in their own homes were they don't hurt anyone but themselves... Which is nobody's business but their own.

For you to say you automatically think "*******" when you see someone YOU DON'T KNOW have a cigarette... It just seems wrong to me.

Agreed.

I also think that the second hand smoke argument is a weak one. With all the other crap (literal and figurative) in the air, it doesn't really matter unless you're in an enclosed, poorly ventilated space with them.

To be honest I find this question silly. The reason I don't like something is because I don't like it. Why would I want to like it if I don't?:o

Oh I was thinking about other things like Movies, shows, etc.

Where to begin

Entertainment
Blade Runner
Alien
Aliens
Heroes

Foods
Mushrooms

I'd like to like my job. But people prevent me from doing that. The existence of people in this equation makes the problem unsolvable. Elimination of said factor would make my life so incredibly pleasant that a permanent smile would be the norm for me versus the exception.

Nah, it's really not silly at all. I have no idea how many times i've been talking to a friend about something and he'll say "y'know, i'd like to like it... I just don't". It's quite a common occurence.
I think everybody has things they think they should be into but for one reason or another just can't get their head around.
I just figured i'd make a thread for them... :yay:

Movies:

A Clockwork Orange - I tried watching it once, and even though I know I'm weird and wired strange that movie was way too weird for me to enjoy it.

2001: A Space Odessy - Yawn, I just got bored before it got interesting (I assume it gets interesting at some point)

Not a Kubrick Girl, then?

I've never seen 2001 (One of my great movie shames) but personally, i love Clockwork Orange... Freakin' great movie.

I'd like to like Transformers... But i just can't do it. There's just something terminally boring to me about Big Robots knocking the crap outta each other... After ten minutes, it's like... "Is that it?"

CSI... Because if i did, I would NEVER be bored again... Seriously, that show is never off TV!

pretty much all new videogames....I like the snes / genesis / nes games are & were better
almost any other music than film score
superman
the spider-man reboot

Nuts of any kind, cashu, peanuts, hazel, almonds etc etc

Wish I could get into them because it seems like they throw one of these in most deserts

I've never seen a cashu in a desert. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a cashu at all.
