I'd rather that because when one of the shows are pissing me off, I can stick with the other one while pretending one doesn't exist.

If Smackdown was a separate entity that was actually good and not ruined by a 70 year old man and his carrot eating sidekick then RAW could burn in hell for all I care. Smackown at 2002-2004 level would make me ignore RAW until the big PPV's.

Cena landed on his head doing that sunset flip bomb spot at a house show.

"Carrot eating sidekick"

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Seriously, I can definitely say I agree with that sentiment. Raw would be dead to me if Smackdown was completely separated and a high in quality as it was during Heyman's run as Booker. And for a subscriber like me, I'd only watch my proposed "Night 1" for each PPV that's not a 3 night event with NXT as night 1.

Nah, if someone wanted to punk you they'd get you talking about female wrestlers with Sara Amato standing behind you.

that would be a short conversation though.
"So man what did you think of the 'insert diva name here' vs. 'insert other diva name here'"
Then my resposnse would be
"IDK I was in the bathroom."

You are a joy, sir. Truly you are...

It just occurred to me that WWE is actually acknowledging that Sting had a great WCW career. I don't think they did that for anybody, not even Goldberg. That might have been a demand from the Stinger himself, but either way it's great to see WWE not pretend that they're the only wrestling company to have ever existed. Ever since the Invasion, they went out of their way to make WCW look inferior and places like ROH seem non existent.

Just ordered the Best of PWG Vol 2. Can't wait to watch it.

It's a different game now, as back then Vince didn't care that playing on someone like Goldberg or DDP's fine WCW careers meant potential $$$.

But now it's all about selling that merchandise, blu rays and most importantly the network. Bigging Sting up is simply for want of a less cliched phrase best for business.

Am I the only person who noticed the woman on Smackdown who touched Reigns while he was walking to the ring, rubbed her hands together, and then rubbed her hands on her face?

Pics or it didn't happen.

Don't have pics. It's at like 1:39 on SD (I know because I had to rewind it o make sure I saw what I thought I saw). Her face gets cut out of frame, but you see everything up to that point, and her hands are clearly going toward her face.

That's the last time I bring my wife to a wrestling show.

issues with the tag division aside, happy its full of mostly minority performers

I especially think it is important to acknowledge the diversity represented in the Prime Time Players. I think you all know where I'm going with this.

..........

Ever since I was a kid growing up watching wrestling, I would have never imagined that, one day, a mature and responsible father like Titus O'Neil would ever find success in the WWF/WWE. But times change, I guess.

Yeah the WWE needs more minority presence on the shows, I mean they have it but I mean as far as being made a big deal.

There's no guarantee that's going to happen. Owens has to have actual feuds that are promoted like a big deal. They can't stick him in random matches like they did Ziggler and have him only cut promos on the app.

He has been in a good feud with Cesaro after the Cena feud. They are doing a good job with KO so far.

When you were watching this you knew a good show was about to happen every week.

I liked the realistic approach to the Smackdown intro at that time. They need to bring that back for all the shows openings.

I got my WWE 2k13 working again! It had so many created wrestlers I had along with a bunch I downloaded. I did a whole "NJPW invasion" of WWE that was awesome. I also made up a guy who was a former NJPW wrestler who was a huge American heel for the company and everything.

God, my imagination went wild with 2K13

Do any of the newer games have move-specific reversals? The most recent game I've played is WWE '12 on the Wii and whenever you reverse a grapple, the wrestler doesn't reverse a specific move but instead escapes the grapple itself(front facelock, headlock, wristlock, waistlock) and puts on one of his own. It looks to me like the only moves that have unique reversals are the groggy moves and maybe the signatures and finishers, though I've seen opponents counter finishers by merely shoving you away without the finisher animation even beginning.

I prefer how the AKI games and to an extent, the Gamecube games where a vertical suplex could be blocked and countered into a vertical suplex or a piledriver or powerbomb type move would be blocked and countered with a back body drop.

That's a feud? Seems like a series of matches to me. How many segments are Cesaro and Owens getting to add some heat to this? What are the stakes championship-wise or personally? Are the announcers even trying to tell us why it's important despite the wrestlers not really getting many talking segments? One Smackdown promo makes this a good feud with good heat and buzz? It feels important and must-see? Just because two guys we like are wrestling against one another doesn't mean it's being presented well.

– The hottest seller when it comes to action figures among the Divas is Paige, according to the Wrestling Observer newsletter. In general, the women of Total Divas have seen their action figure sales increase considerably. My guess is that Paige is doing so well, in part, because she also got the extra exposure on Tough Enough in addition to Total Divas.

The massive Paige haters on that other forum are likely having an aneurysm and it couldn't be more amusing right now :woot:
