I like both Sting and John Cena fine, but I don't want them to win at Night of Champions. After another month of being made into a punching bag, I'd like to see Seth Rollins once more silence the naysayers (in kayfabe terms at least) by pulling double duty and beating both John Cena and Sting on the same night. The swagger he'll bring to Raw the following night will be a sight to behold.

He should beat them and then have Sheamus cash in and let Seth beat him too.

Sting almost has to win....he can't be 0-2 during his WWE run.

A second loss would just make fans that are unfamiliar with Sting not care about any other matches.

plus come on with sting winning its the one guy who mcmahon never made holding the title the angle with the authority writes itself

plus it then leads into mcmahons boy taking it back after beating sting a second time

Honestly, this "Let Seth beat Sting and Cena on the same night" sounds like a pipe dream, IMO. Seth has and probably will be a chicken ***** heel for the duration of his title reign. He won't suddenly beat top guys clean like fans want him too. The one clean win he had against a "top" guy was Ambrose, the guy who loses most of his feuds.

Like someone else said, Sting needs the win. WWE has a vested interest in Rollins, so its not like the loss would hurt him long term.

I swear the biggest mistakes WWE has made with Sting has been allowing him to talk and wear that coat with the red coloring.

With Sting less is always more. At the height of his popularity he didn't say a single word for MONTHS. Nobody knew exactly what he wanted or what his motivations were. THAT's what made him so cool during his feud with the nWo.

That's kind of an insult to Sting because it's like saying the only thing worth anything about him is the costume he wears, because 90% of what he did during that time was let the costume do the talking, he didn't even wrestle until Starrcade. There's nothing wrong with Sting's mic skills, it just seems to me that people who were not familiar with him prior to the Crow gimmick expected him to sound like Batman or the Undertaker when he opened his mouth.

There was also, King Booker. :cwink:

I loved the hell out of King Booker. Endless comedy every week. But I would have loved to see World Champion Booker T circa 2003 after that racist as f*** angle.

At PWG Battle Of Los Angeles 2011, Kevin Owens defeated Dave "Fit" Finlay and that's how "Fight, Owens! Fight!" came to be

Wow, I never knew that.

I wonder if Fit Finlay still works for the 'E as an agent or something. I always loved Finlay.

Do people even really know Sting? He's had a history of being animated even before Joker Sting. He's always had a cheeseball side in some form. Also, if Sting didn't wear Heath Joker makeup in TNA no one would compare this to Joker. Sting's delivery and facial expressions have more in common with Jim Carrey characters than any version of the Joker.

Right. Anyone expecting some somber, gothic delivery from him totally judged him by his makeup and trenchcoat.

Sting has to win at NoC. He cannot be 0-x for his WWE career. They can say Seth was tired or hurt from his previous match in the night with Cena. I do think Seth should retain the U.S. title.

Maybe even have him beat Sting for the WWE title in a match where they shake hands and turns face down the road.

There is no real reason for Sting to win that belt IMO....I mean, why should he be champ? So he can defend it against Undertaker in a half-assed attempt to sellout Mania 32 by trying to cash in on nostalgia?

F-ck outta here WWE, who REALLY wants to see Sting as Champion? I mean there's a probably a contingency that wants to see him win it as a nice "feel good" moment but beyond that though...who really does?

I like Sting and all but I have no interest in a title reign for him and him holding it makes no sense at this point

I do. As uneventful as things get between the big four PPVs, it's not as if Sting having a one-month reign as champ(nobody's saying he'll hold it all the way to the next WM) will kill the company or hurt anyone's career. Hulk Hogan's reign back in 2002 wasn't the end of the world either.

I'd say the vast majority of people mainly know of Sting from his "Crow" gimmick. That was the peak of his popularity.

I got no problem with the classic version of Sting, but I've always hated the attempts he's made to mix the two versions of his character. The two things just don't mesh IMO.

Even if you look at how WWE has hyped Sting and the entrance music they gave him clashes with his current persona.

Who said anything about Sting holding the title till Mania? Pretty much everyone sees Sting holding the title for a month or less just so he can pick up a win and hold WWE gold for once.

You can argue it was a mistake to put Sting in the WWE title picture, but now that he's there he really does need to win. It's not a good look for the legendary Sting to lose his first two matches in WWE.

I could see Sting winning by DQ with Rollins keeping the title.

A DQ win is still a bad look for Sting unless he can win in a rematch.

WWE kind of painted themselves into a corner. This wouldn't be an issue at all if they didn't have Sting lose to HHH at Mania.

I'd be fine if Sting wins the title clean but only if it's mostly done for new wwe history and he drops the title at Survivor Series. If he holds it till RR then I sure hope he goes full time on TV in the meantime. WM title match is a big no though!

That works in a long, drawn out saga like the original NWO story was. When you need to tell a story with him in the span of 30 days, you have to go this route.

I think after Cena is done with Rollins he should either feud with Sheamus or go after the IC title. He can elevate the IC belt like he did the U.S.
