There is no real reason for Sting to win that belt IMO...

Sting is popular. Sting still sells merchandise and tickets. Sting is not going to be a long term champion. Rollins is not going to break Punk's record. Give Sting the belt. That's what good business sense is.

So a friend of mine told me that Rollins got pinned for the 2nd time during his reign. So WWE continued to devalue their title while putting a senior citizen in the main event of their next PPV. I haven't watched WWE since Battleground and it certainly doesn't sound like I'm missing anything. I really think Vince has gone senile.

The Stone Cold Podcast with Edge&Christian on the wwe network was pretty good!

The Lucha Dragons hit dives to the outside. Neville hit Red Arrow on Stardust and then a moonsault to the outside, taking out a group of Lumberjacks. Ryback and Rollins are the only ones in the ring as Rollins hits a Pedigree for the win. SmackDown ends with Rollins holding up both titles.

I think after Cena is done with Rollins he should either feud with Sheamus or go after the IC title. He can elevate the IC belt like he did the U.S.

I'm thinking it will be Kevin Owens with the IC belt after NOC.

Sting harnessing his "Joker Sting" was great. New Day was great and it's good to see them getting more top billing and I loved how Woods snuck in a little Final Fantasy flavor when they trolled Rollins. That segment between TND, Rollins, E&C, and Dudleys was great. Big E trying to eat the kazoo was hilarious as was Kofi's backseat comments. It was such a missed opportunity to not have Kofi win MitB. Sasha/Paige was a good match. Rollins really shined in the Ryback match and Ryback looked good. Although the angle with Rusev/Ziggler is really ****ing stupid, Rusev makes it work. I really hope that after this, they push him to the main event because he's the total package.

Side Note:
PWG is teasing their BoLA nights with a trailer for each night. You guys need to check it out. Also, Chris Hero is turning into Stan Hansen adjace.

Sting should not lose 2 PPVs in a row.

Sting should not lose 2 PPVs in a row.

Especially considering they're the first two matches of his WWE run.

For a lot of younger fans this is all they know of Sting. They weren't around for this WCW run and they payed no attention to his work in TNA. It's bad enough their introduction to Sting had him losing to HHH and then later praising him after the fact, but you can compound that with him losing to Seth Rollins at a PPV.

That's not a good look no matter how you slice it. Sting pretty much has to win at this point.

http://www.inquisitr.com/2404083/br...-three-year-old-racist-tweets-surface-online/

Nhooph Al-Areebi, better known by her WWE NXT Diva ring-name Jasmin, is about to become the latest contracted talent mired in a racism controversy.

Late on September 8, two three-year-old tweets, dated February 11, 2012, surfaced, revealing racist comments made by the 20-year-old Diva. An additional tweet dated September 25, 2011, also surfaced.

Twitter user Brittin95 was the first to reveal the tweets. His account has since been protected. One of the tweets in question was in response a prior Twitter conversation between two independent parties, where Al-Areebi responded by saying “Why are black people so horny?” Screen shots of the tweets, each containing racially motivated and insensitive language, can be found on Tumblr.

Al-Areebi’s Twitter account, “isntshelovely_4,” has been deactivated since the news broke. At the time of this writing, Al-Areebi remains part of the WWE website, including a recent interview describing her family’s values.

“I have a typical Arabic family. We’re very conservative. I grew up in Canada, but I’m a first-generation Canadian. My parents are from the Middle East. We had strict rules. There were certain things I couldn’t wear, no boyfriends, strict curfews. They were hard on me about school. I had to get good grades.”

Based on the dates of the tweets, Al-Areebi (born in 1994) would have been in high school at the time they were made.

Al-Areebi signed a developmental contract with the WWE in April 2015, along with Australian talents Jessica McKay (now performing as Billie Kay) and Cassie McIntosh (now performing as Peyton Royce) and a host of male performers. Prior to entering the WWE, Al-Areebi appeared as “Jasmin Areebi” in independent promotions such as Squared Circle Wrestling, Absolute Intense Wrestling and Alpha-1 Wrestling. She made her professional debut in January 2013. She was based out of Ontario, Canada before relocating to Orlando, Florida.

This news comes on the heels of Zahra Schreiber’s recent release from the WWE for Nazi-sympathetic remarks made on her Instagram account. Much like Al-Areebi’s, the posts in question were made by Schreiber before entering WWE’s NXT Performance Center.

Earlier this year the WWE also cut ties with Hulk Hogan, removing him from their Hall of Fame and releasing him from a his legend’s contract, for racist remarks made over eight-years prior.

While it is easy to speculate what action the WWE will take on in response to Al-Areebi’s three- and four-year-old tweets, history would dictate that it could be both swift and harsh. Given the WWE’s fast response to both Schreiber and Hogan, a response is expected on Wednesday.
Damn, another one?

The more I think about it, the more I want NOC to somehow set up a Sting/Cena program. I can totally see Seth Rollins manipulating events so those two begrudge each other rather than him coming out of the event.

WWE should just fire the whole roster if they're going to punish people for old Tweets.

WWE should just fire the whole roster if they're going to punish people for old Tweets.

I doubt the entire roster has made racist, homophobic, or sexist tweets.

Goddamit, when I eventually get put over Brock Lesnar clean for the World Title, I imagine all my posts on the Hype will come back to haunt me. :argh:

Did she say something worse than "why are black people so horny?" I know it's not a good thing to say on her part, but, especially considering the time lapsed and lack of context, I don't see that as an offense worthy of termination or anything. Does anyone know what else she said?

New shoot interview from Rico Constantino

I always thought he was a good worker and one of the nicest wrestlers I ever met as evidenced by him coming from around the fence to take pictures when almost nobody else from the roster would do it before the show started. :woot:

Although the angle with Rusev/Ziggler is really ****ing stupid, Rusev makes it work. I really hope that after this, they push him to the main event because he's the total package.

Rusev can cut promos now?

I'm all in with Sting winning the title from Rollins.

I have no idea of the state of play in WWE right now but I wouldn't be surprised if the plan is for Rollins reign to surpass Punks so they can further wipe him for their history, as they are currently doing with inflato taking AJ's record.
