This is why you don't shop at Best Buy

that is strange cause I got the 4 year warranty for my 27" toshiba tv i bought in i think 97. A few weeks after i got it, it was acting up. I kept hearing this high pitched tone coming from it weather the volume was regular or all the way down. I contacted BB and they told me to bring my set in and they would help me out. I had a Camaro at the time and was not looking forward to putting that huge box in or out of the back cargo area. I put the defective set in the passenger seat and drove over there. they went and brought out a brand new unit off the shelf and opened it up and took it out. they then took my set and put it in the box and took it in the back room. they helped me put my NEW set in the car and i took it back home. never had a problem with it even when i sold it to a co worker last fall for like 15 bucks when i got my current 32" LCD sony from sears.

So that is how I got that piece of crap TV. I knew something was up when I saw the box. But the sales guy said no that he just opened it to make sure the remote was there.

jk

But I do bet they tried to resell it. Most places do. Sears sends those TVs to their outlet stores.

Wow, that is some serious insight there. Tell us how you really feel. :whatever:

I'm pretty much neutral towards all the electronics stores; if I can find something a few bucks cheaper at one store, I'll shop there, if they're all relatively close in price, I'll go to whichever is closer.

I've only had to return something to BB once, an old 120MHz Packard Bell desktop; I bought the 4 yr warranty so when it crapped out, I took it back. It took a couple weeks for the folks they had to "send it off to" to figure out it was a goner, but ultimately they gave me a "screaming fast" 333Mhz desktop as a replacement.

Playing PGA Tour Golf versus a buddy online...watching the greens slowly show up pixel by pixel on my 14 inch CRT screen in 256bit color. Ahhh pure bliss.

BBuys new Customer Credit Card Commercial..... here it goes.

299.99 for your PS3
45.00 for HDMI Cable
59.99 for new game
Have some high school kid come connect wires that a 4 year old could do for you, and being bent over while you do it and rob you for 130 bucks....... Priceless

I would only pay for this if it was a hot girl and she bent over in front of me to plug in 2 cables. Also, she has to do jumping jacks.

For $130, she had better give me ******io as well.

We have a winner! Winner, winner chicken dinner!

Accidental Damage plans that the store has is worth it IMO. Services are basically for the lazy people. You'd be surprised with some people who want the ENTIRE computer package set-up and good to go. :/

But trust me, as a Best Buy employee, I get *****ed at for the prices on a daily basis.. as if it's my fault we charge that much???? x_X;;
