But I have been reading up on Heroes like Silver Surfer for examble & I am confused as to what his power is called

Cosmic Power

or

Power Cosmic

Like I said this is a stupid question

Yes, the Power Cosmic is the power that Galactus imbues his heralds with. It's supposed to be the power that fuels the entire universe or something. "Cosmic power" is just a nebulous term that can refer to any sort of energy in a comic, although it has had more specific uses. The Eternals, for example, are supposed to be powered by ambient cosmic energy.
