Is Thomas Jane glutton for Punishment?

The Punisher star was busted early Monday morning in Central California on DUI charges, E! News has learned.

According to a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol's Central Division, the 39-year-old Jane was clocked barreling southbound down Interstate 5 at 120-125 miles per hour.

Officers pulled him over in Kern County, just north of the town of Buttonwillow, and determined the actor was under the influence. Jane was taken into custody and booked for driving with a blood alcohol content above the state legal limit of 0.08 percent and driving with a suspended license.

The CHP spokesman said Jane was released from the Kern County Jail around 10 a.m., when "someone from L.A. came and picked him up."
Jane and his unidentified savior then retrieved his black 2008 Maserati from an impound lot in Buttonwillow before heading the 120 miles back home.

He's scheduled to be arraigned April 9.

We're guessing it wasn't the best way to kick off St. Patty's Day for the half-Irish Jane.

The actor, who's married to Medium star Patricia Arquette, most recently starred in the horror flick The Mist, written and directed by Frank Darabont.
He previously appeared in another King adaptation, Lawrence Kasdan's 2003 flop The DreamCatcher; Jane's credits also include such films as The Crow: City of Angels, Face/Off, Boogie Nights, The Thin Red Line, Deep Blue Sea, Original Sin, The Sweetest Thing and The Punisher, as well as the Billy Crystal-helmed HBO TV movie 61*, where he starred as Mickey Mantle.
Next up, he's set to costar with John Malkovich in the sci-fi adventure The Mutant Chronicles and to direct and act in the mystery thriller The Dark Country, both due out this year.

When I read that, I just shook my head and said, "Oh Tom what are you doing?" Even though I like him, what he did was dumb and he needs to pay the price. The good thing is, he didn't kill anyone while driving.

Oh wow, he got into the same trouble a couple million other people have in the past month.

His life is turning out great! good choices!

like he said at the scream awards 2007 "I chose this movie over the punisher"
when talking about the box office bomb "the mist."

That's right guys, piss on someone when they're down. Guy was coming back from a funeral, its not justification, it is what it is. While I agree, drinking and driving is unacceptable. But I'd be a hypocrite to say I havent done it, as would most. Hopefully whatever the issue is with Tom, in regards to this, he'll pull himself up by the boot straps and do what he can to make himself better.

I didnt know he was at a funeral, where did you hear that? Also why would he be getting wasted a a funeral?

I would imagine the drinking didnt take place at a funeral.

He attended Dave Stevens' funeral.

See, The Mist was a good movie though. Jane's best performance.

A lot of good/great movies flop at the B.O., it still doesn't take away the fact that they were good. The Mist was an $18 million movie and made around $40 million worldwide. So, you know I really wouldn't call it a flop.

And with War Zone it may turn out to be a decent movie and make its money back. But it will most likely end up being a pretty forgettable action film.

What does it matter if it flops?

That means nothing to me.

I agree. I don't care if a movie flops. If it entertains me, then I'm happy with it. Most people wouldn't like the movies I like and a lot of them flopped big time at the B.O.
