Endgame Thor/God of Thunder - Chris Hemsworth

I'm kind of looking forward to Tony meeting her attitude. That might be a fun interchange. I'm not sure if I'm feeling her and Thor yet...

It'll suck if that's the end right when they finally know what to do with him. I'm wanting lots more now
No way am I ready for the end of Thor right now. So much more great stuff we could get from him. If I have to keep 2 original Avengers it would be Thor and Hulk. Both have much more to give and while I’d ideally want all 6 for a few more decades, I have to be realistic and at least Cap and Stark have had plenty and given a lot already.

It's interesting to me how Thor has turned out to be the phase 1 character who feels the most like he should be a major player in the next of the phase of the MCU.

I've always been a big Thor fan, I guess largely because reading Simonson's run on Thor was a central part of what got me into comics. But the Marvel comics division never really saw him as a character with a broad appeal.

The MCU incarnation was pretty good, but it felt like he was lagging behind many of the other characters originally.

Well, not anymore lol. It's a combination of factors, I guess.

Marvel was pretty smart when they decided to treat the character as well as they did with IM and Cap. He had the right to be as awesome in the MCU, and Marvel really made it.

Now he's as popular as ever, the powerhouse that he should be, and I think there'll be more to come, which will make him even more important.

Yeah, Thor's surprisingly been the character I've come to like the most out of the main three, which is a huge turnaround for me. Granted, when I started my MCU binge I didn't come off liking any of the main characters, but I could at least see the appeal of Stark and Cap, especially the latter. But Thor -- I didn't really see anything great or interesting or relatable with him, he just felt artificially stiff like he came out of any ol' Lord of the Rings-esque ripoff, especially with the Norse background (loose as it may be) and all. Ragnarok definitely turned things around; first time that he came across as a multidimensional character to me, and the new look helps a lot. He's actually the character I'd prefer to see in an actively recurring role post-Endgame, much more so than Stark and Rogers.

Don't know if this counts as a spoiler or not since there aren't any real specifics given (but I'll put it in one anyway), but the Spanish voice actor for Rocket Raccoon claimed in a recent interview that
something particularly interesting and irreversible happens to Thor in Endgame.

Chris stated he does not know whether he will die or not in this film, but has a rough idea. He said he would be happy to continue as Thor if he survives and if Marvel wants to use him, however it sounds more likely Marvel will go in a new direction. I hope he survives and is used but I thinking that is a low probability in the foreseeable futue

The smartest thing they've done is let some of Hemsworth own kind of goofball personality seep through. Perfect heroes who take themselves way too seriously are boring.

The movie comes out in 2 weeks, I'm fairly certain he knows if Thor will die or not.

Still don't love that they gave him the eye back

for one, he looked badass with the patch and it made him look more King Thor
and two, having one brownish eye and one blue one make him look googly-eyed in a lot of shots

I was just about to say the same! I miss the pirate angel look, and it did suit him.

My favorite look is definitely King Thor with the silver armour, eye patch, uru arm...
It would a be dream to see such a thing on the big screen. It's just the most badass epic thing.

This look with the different colored eyes is fine. I also liked the eyepatch, but i kind wish they made it slightly different and more cool looking. I guess with the full gear it could very well look like what i envision for that nr. 1 Thor look.

indeed
but is it worth the tradeoff of him lookin like the cookie monster in his quieter, non-action scenes??

exaggerating, obv, he still looks good, but yeah, they should've done something cooler with the eye Rocket gave him than just a different colored human eye

I agree, the bifrost scene in Ragnarok was a bit more lame with one glowing eye instead of two like in the trailer. Thor definitely needs two eyes to pull off the whole badass lightning god mode complete with two awesome looking glowing eyes.

We only got a small taste of it in Infinity War, I hope he uses it multiple times for extended periods of time in Endgame.

Very interesting interview with some of the questions that fans wanted answers for...

- Thor was considered the most powerful member of the team so how was it going to affect him the arrival of Captain Marvel?
- Theory suggesting a romance between Thor and Captain Marvel?
- Are you satisfied with Phase 3 ending for the character of Thor?

The runes carved into Stormbreaker have apparently changed for AEG.
Now it reads "STRENGHT" and "VALOR" on the hammer side. There are some runes on the axe blade but i couldn't find an image which showed those runes properly so i could decipher the meaning.
