Thor: Love and Thunder | Official News and Speculation Thread

I doubt, though, that they'll kill her and bring her right back like in the comics
my bet is she just gets cured at the end

and I also don't think they'll get into the whole "being Thor is killing her" thing
might not be enough time to really explore that idea in one movie
she'll prob be sick at the beginning, become Thor, and recover by the end

Or maybe she'll die in the end, and Thor takes Mjolnir back, bequeaths Stormbreaker to Beta Ray Bill, and we get a crazy good Thor movie....for the second time?
I don't know. I could see Jane Thor being cool, and her hanging around for more than one movie. Maybe at the end, being Thor is what keeps her alive, and maybe Beta Ray Bill gets Stormbreaker, and Thor just...goes on as Thor...allowing Jane and Bill to carry on the Asgardian legacy while he lives out the rest of his days, or until he is needed.

Warlock please...

I'm thinking Dario. Minotaur oil company exec seems right in Bale's wheelhouse. And Gorr's power set was already used by Hela in the last installment.

I am thinking it will be Gorr.

As for the cancer story, it's possible that they may drag that out over multiple movies. So Jane becomes Thor here, but maybe she doesn't get sick yet. Maybe they're planning on her being around for like 3 movies, so they're saving it for her next appearance or maybe they introduce the idea, but her disease is still early stages. I doubt they make her Thor and kill her same movie.

Cool, if Portman is up for multiple films. Although I’d want Hemsworth doing stuff while this is happening too.

Good to have the confirmation that he’s indeed playing the villain. Now the only thing left to know is who.

The character of Dario Ager seems to be gaining more traction. To have Thor face off against a human foe might be a nice change of pace. Even though I would love to see Gorr.

Ronnie James Dio's legacy is getting a boost in media thanks to the late rocker's widow and manager, Wendy Dio. Not to mention the four classic Dio albums that are scheduled to be remastered and re-releasedthis year.

According to Wendy, Dio music will feature in next year's Marvel Cinematic Universe entry Thor: Love and Thunder. Besides that, the heavy metal supergroup's T-shirt will appear in an upcoming season of Netflix's Stranger Things.

"The movie Thor 4, they're using 'Rainbow in the Dark' in that movie," she told Australia's Subculture Media in a telephone interview last month (Feb. 26). "There's a TV show here called Stranger Things, and they just asked me permission to use the T-shirt for the next series."

Well I would've thought they would have to continue that GOTG storyline, at least showing them dropping Thor off somewhere.

I don't want Groot to evolve too much. Don't make him talk in full sentences. He should stick to "I am Groot".

I suspect we will just see a few, if not all, of them in a key scene or two in the beginning. Just to explain how their trip with Thor went and all that.

Thor and the Guardians was a shining example of how great Infinity War was. They worked so well together.

It’s not a big surprise that they will be featured in TLT after AEG. I’m all for it too. But like they mentioned previously I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a small part to tie up the events in AEG.

This is still a Thor film, right?

Anyway, if the Guardians' role is as limited as, say, Dr. Strange's role was in Ragnarok, then that's fine. We shall see.

I’m just expecting them at the beginning to continue on from EG.

When Thor L&Thits cinema it’s almost 3 years after Endgame and 5 years after Vol 2
Great to see them before Vol. 3... which willprobably be in May 2023

It will be interesting to see how the Guardians fare under the direction of Waititi.

Russos are skilled journeymen. They excel at portraying the most effective take of a particular character. Taika is an oddball whose unique sensibility permeates erry character. It would be interesting to see how the Guardians change under Waititi.
