Thor: Love and Thunder | Official News and Speculation Thread

I don't think so
From what I gather based on interviews with everyone involved, it seems like any cut of the movie would be somewhat disjointed
It seems like Taika was completely let off the leash, to a point that they were filming anything and everything that popped in their heads

As an artist, sometimes it's beneficial to have guidelines and limitations to help you develop a vision of the project. Total creative freedom can go off the rails

So there may be better takes on certain scenes out there, but I think Taika and Marvel and the Editor put together the best movie they could from the abundance of material they had

I certainly don't believe there was studio interference like there was on AoU

Like Zeus and Omnipotent City weren't guidelines.

Seeing it in 1 hour!

After talking and thinking a lot about it, I’m determined to see it again and relieve that experience one more time. There’s so much I want rewatch and I just wanna see how well it plays the second time around, now that I’ve adjusted my perception of what they where going for with this film.

Was very good. I wish we had gotten more Gor. Also
so happy it seems Hemsworth is still on board for Thor and Hercules is coming next! Also that second end credit scene could Jane be back somehow as Valkyrie like the comics?

They let Taika let loose here. This didn't really feel like an MCU film. It was Ragnarok on steroids.
I was trying to think of a way to describe it.....and that fits perfectly.

Just got back from seeing it.....one crazy ass movie. My daughter absolutely loved it.

It’s really interesting to check people’s reactions online to the film. We have everything from one end to another end of the spectrum and everything in between.

It hits everyone differently basically and it’s a big talking point. You basically gotta experience it for yourself to really understand where you land on it.

I would probably rank the movies for me
Ragnarok preferred that adventure, music, humor
Thor 1 solid origin saw him transform in personality and it had good humor

L&T
Dark World
Kind of in the same boat for me right now, I loved the music in Dark World and Loki was good. Disliked a ton of that movie though. L&T I didn't come out the theater hating it, just kind of a numb meh feel.

In terms of the franchise ranking:

1. Thor Ragnarok (9 out of 10)
2. Thor: Love and Thunder (8 out of 10)
3. Thor (7 out of 10)
4. Thor: The Dark World (6 out of 10)

Whenever you guys are able to head on over to the "Best Fight Scene" thread and place your votes.

just knew that the little actress playing Gorr's daughter is actually Chris Hemsworth's real daughter.

No wonder their chemistry was so good at the end

Better put it all in spoiler tags.

Oh… I didn’t know that. I wondered who it was because she sort of looked familiar, now I get it… that’s pretty amazing. Also some of the kids that got the power of Thor where Chris Hemsworth sons, Taika’s daughter…

Visuals were amazing tho.

Only downside to all this; A LOT was cut out.

Make me wondering how much has been cut out?

We know Jeff Goldblum, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey had all their scenes cut...I guess it was the scenes prior to Thor, Jane, Korg and Valkyrie arriving at Shadow Realm...

Hope Marvel will release the extended cut of this movie...because I dont mind a 2.5 or 3 hours version of this movie. Hehe
