Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. He's Danish.
Looks great. Can he act?
When it comes to Pitt, he'd be fine by me. Not the best, but better then most.
Here's a norwegian guy, good actor (Trond Espen Seim). But he's a bit too old and don't have the build for it. But I like the scandinavian look.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is 6'1. The same is Trond Espen Seim (but as stated, he does not have the build for the part. But he could play one of the other gods. One of the few good norwegian actors). Can watch the guy in this trailer:

I agree he has the look, but apparently Marvel's looking for big names for each of the main Avengers heroes. He's definitely got a great look for Thor

Well the Unknown actor would have helped with cost and allowed for alittle more movie or FX.I can't see Pitt as Thor, either. I'd prefer an unknown, which Matthew Vaughn wanted, I believe.
ask Kevin Mckidd again
seriously look at this face and imagine it in the Thor helmet, its perfect

plus listen to his voice, its exactly how Thor should sound IMO, although adding a norse accent would be cool too
just use some tricks for the height and give him time to bulk up, should do the 300 work out plan
Lastly, regarding Web chatter that a professional wrestler might take on the role of Captain America or Thor, Feige said people should "look at the casting choices we've made in the past and assume we'll make similar choices in the future."
Straight from the horse's mouth:
Now get that crap out of here.
No, Thor would be a really hard character to do.Triple H could do, he looks just like Thor, Thor doesnt need an actor with the skill of Leo Dicaprion. Trips will do.
