Thor: The Dark World Trailer Thread

Just watched the trailer for the first time -- looks fantastic! Can't wait.

The last movie had Loki trying to exterminate an entire race, send the Destroyer to kill his brother and everyone in that town, and kill his birth father in cold blood. It wasn't all fun and giggles. This does look darker, agreed.

Trailer was put together nicely. Really looking forward to this movie.

Looks AWESOME!

I do love the nod to the fans including that stone alien at the end.

Wait...what happened to messy rock star Loki from the teaser? :S

Definitely has a bigger scale than the last film, I like:up:

dude i think Thor was on the floor in that scene, writhing. Loki seems like he was plotting...
Did anyone else notice the difference in the two trailers when Thor lands on earth and creates a crater in the 2nd trailer, but the first trailer he just landed? lol

RESPECT THOR

You're not the only one who noticed that difference, I did and it was awesome. :woot:

What if instead of Thor yelling "Noooooo!" in the teaser is because Loki is killed and not Jane... A little bait and switch?

In the shot with Jane floating, Loki looks like he is bleeding in the eye area. Like they were ripped out.

That trailer was amazing, been looking forward to this a lot and my excitement has now gone up big time after seein that trailer.

The guy Thor beat easily at the end, was it just me or did he look a lot like Hulk's stone friend in Planet Hulk who was terrified of Thor?

They're from the same race, they're called Kronans. :)

I like that this film will explore more of Asgard, instead of the sandbox we got in the first movie.

Things don't seem so pristine and unlived in. Asgard now looks to have some history behind it.

It's hard for me to make much of a gauge on the quality of the film based on this trailer. It's a little too busy shoving characters (mainly Loki) into it.

But on the other hand....it shoved a lot of Loki into it. And that in of itself I can't really complain about.

Also, I really liked Thor's "But I wish I could trust you." You could really hear the sadness and regret in his voice. Thor still cares about Loki. Well played, Helmsworth.

Much like the difference between the Man of Steel teaser and trailer, I felt it lost a smidge of its classiness. But the movie still looks great and I feel like they are hiding something from us.

Although I'm concerned that that something will be that Loki is actually an actor and Malekith is the real Loki.

I wasn't all that impressed by the trailer. Seemed to pretty much just be your typical the world is in danger mumo jumbo. The ending, however, was great.

"Anyone else?"

:woot:

Anyway, glad to see the scale is bigger this time around.

There's a scene in one of the Raimi Spiderman's, can't remember which where Thor in the above screencap looks a lot like a bearded Kirsten Dunst :woot:

So apparently "the very fabric of reality [could] be torn apart"

I just want to throw my .02 in about the Space Gem. Being that that is a Marvel artifact that could have that potential.

I hope not. Having a few films centered around one of the Infinity gems seems gimicky.
