No, the guy is betraying his real feelings with the whole "You/We" structure. And he complains that "you" have Black History Month and "you" have the NAACP, and "you" carjack us.

He's also characterizing "the ghetto" as dangerous not because of economic disadvantage or any other factors beside the idea that Blacks are violent and Whites don't live in "the ghetto".

The fact that someone had to even point all this out is just pathetic.

But as far as the original post goes, it is because there is a perception of retribution. It's not that if the world was fair, White Entertainment Television would be allowed. If it was fair, Black Entertainment Televison, NAACP, Negro College Fund, etc. would themselves be called racist.

It's not reverse discrimination so much as it is minorities being allowed exceptions to being considered racist for doing what are technically racist things. Don't get me wrong, I can understand the need for orginizations like the NAACP, but it's not that Whites are being kept form doing things. It's minorites being allowed things they normally wouldn't.

although he does have a point that if a majority were able to hold some sort of event that a minority were unable attend, then it wouldn't fare well in the majority's case in excluding a minority on any grounds, especially a race based one.

in all fairness i think anyone who makes a conscience effort to show others they are proud of their heritage is an idiot. I know fully what i am and where i come from and i don't need a parade in order to show this.

although one can say such events are held in order to perhaps educate other people who may have been unaware of the circumstances that have led to a nation/group of people getting to where they need to be. However ifeel if someone was truelly interested, they would be able to conduct the required research individually or ask the appropriate people without it being placed in another person's face.

in short, there are a lot of good darkies and lighties and everything in the middle, kids, grown ups, old fogies, inventors, leaders, entertainers and religious types.

Well, I've never understood this idea of being proud of one's race in that it's one of the few things in your life that wasn't earned. You were just born that way by chance, not through any merit of your own.

Furthermore, for those whose "pride" is so great that it becomes a sense of thuperiority, it still makes no sense, because any White Pride/Neo-Nazi/KKK guy will be happy to complain about all of the foolish, "n*****-loving" race-traitors, and the Nazis didn't just kill Jews and Gypsies. They also killed Germans who were homosexuals, or ******ed, even bed-wetters.
Proving that there isn't anything inherently superior about the race itself, if you can be a member and not automatically "rise" to their standards of perfection.

i guess it always starts off as one thing and esculates into other. George orwell showed it in Animal farm, with all animals being equal but some being more equal than others. The fueds started after the eviction of the humans which were the common threat.

I suppose for those who feel there are being supressed, having a normal life isn't enough and they wish to actually be the supressors and probably envy the position their masters had over them.

these are in the extreme cases that you speak of by the way, i'm pretty sure not all western minorities wish to destroy the white man.
