It's weird... Tim Burton's other two movies this year, Frankenweenie and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter are getting ALOT of attention, but his (arguably) most bankable movie is getting shocking treatment from WB.

The image is nice and all... but it's nothing we haven't seen before. It's very frustrating.

I don't understand why they are sitting on this.

WB do this sometimes. Both Contagion and Sweeney Todd got trailers 8 weeks before release.

This movie I could see easily grossing over $200 million domestic with good marketing and being a sleeping hit...but it's going to "underperform" when nobody knows it exists.

Maybe, maybe not. Feelings would change on the film if they were revealed to be a hypocritical studio who tested the movie for all that kind of stuff, and then was guilty of it themselves. In other words, I'll believe it when I see it.

I think this pretty much sums it up...

The film will be out in May. We haven't seen very much from it at all, and I wonder if that's because Warner Bros simply has no idea how to sell these strange and disparate tonal elements. But the weirder this movie sounds the more excited I get for it.

I think Helena Bonham Carter was right when she claimed the movie would be difficult to market.

I don't care how "strange and disparate" the tone is. The studio ought to be able to put together two minutes of footage to make a trailer.

Actually... I believe it was Villiage Roadshow recently that stated there were already in talks about possible sequels.

So if things go well then a franchise could be a strong possibility.

There's a user who watched a trailer of the movie in the Imdb boards by participating an online movie survey. The initial reaction is of course, that I don't believe it but part of me wants it to be true just for the sake that a trailer could soon.

They should push the movie back to October because it might have a chance of making more money due to its content. Simple as that. I still plan on watching it regardless of when it comes out but I would understand why they delayed it.

I'd rather them take time to make a perfect trailer than releasing one everybody laughs at (Green Lantern).

The GL trailer that everyone laughed at was, like, 8 months before the film's release. If these mother****ers can't have made a decent trailer in all this time, three months before the release date, then **** 'em.

Green Lantern's first trailer was rushed but with 3 months until this movie comes out they definitely had enough time to cut one trailer.

I'm hoping for a trailer or a poster by the end of this month but I don't want to get disappointed, but they should wake up and smell the coffee, and stop jerking around with us.
