One still at this site hints we will be seeing the ghost of Josette In film.

Anyone else find themselves liking Eva Green more In some of these post Casino royale roles of her like Dark Shadows than they did In Casino Royale?

Someone recorded the trailer, I got weak and chose to see it. It's not hard to notice the comedy elements but I think they could pull it off, most of it's quirky and eccentric due to Barnabas adapting to the 70s but I'm sure it'll have its fair share of serious moments. All I know it's that I'm liking what I'm seeing.

Yeah the trailer is on a Michelle Pfeiffer fan page... but I decided not to watch it.

I waited this long... I'll hold out a little while longer and see it in all its glory.

I watched the trailer recordered posted on youtube.

the review on AICN appears to be accurate. Most of humor comes from barnabas adapting to life in 1972.It defently looks like there will be genuine horror and serious moments in the film.In particular the 18th century scenes look like they are done very seriously.

Eva Green looks like she Is giving a sexy overthetop performance.

As much as I love Eva, the hair just doesn't fit her, at least in the stills. It looks unnatural and takes away from her beauty.

she's a natural blonde tho lol

So is Christina Hendricks. We all know she looks her best with the red hair.

Also, Eva Green natural hair color is not that blonde. It is like taking someone with a deep, dark red hair and dying their hair nearly orange. :woot:

So I just watched it in HD on Ellen. Yep, the AICN review was accurate. It's most definitely a comedy. That said, it does seem more like a vintage Burton comedy. Kind of like Beetlejuice meets Ed Wood meets the more absurd suburbia parts of Edward Scissorhands.

I think fans of the show will cry foul, but I kinda dug it. And it is visually gorgeous, so there's that.

Just saw the trailer on Ellen. It would appear that the previous trailer reports were right; it does play up a lot of the comedy, but it also shows some small glimpses into the more serious parts of the movie. In all, it was a pretty long trailer, though it feels like some of it was rushed together. It looks like a beautiful movie and Johnny Depp is great as Barnabas Collins. I'm so happy that we finally got a trailer, it really boosted my excitement.

The trailer does strongly hint at a comedic approach but I wonder if there'll be like that in the movie, not that I don't mind. Just wondering about HBC's comment that it's a mixture of so many elements that it's hard to pinpoint what kind of movie it is. I'm excited nonetheless.

It looks like Barnabas' tranformation or realization that he's a Vampire is going to be a serious moment in the film.

I'm wondering if they'll do what was done for Edward Scissorhands; have one trailer that showcases the comedy, and another that showcases the drama. It looks like there's going to be some pretty serious moments in this movie.
