Awesome... I gotta get mine for Pittsburgh soon!

This little ploy is totally working for WB. I mean I'm sure I Am Legend was going to have a decent opening being that it's a weak holiday season. But, it wasn't going to be the type of movie people we're going to boast about having tickets for and line-up for an hour or more in advance just to ensure they get front row - and it is now.

Btw, where's the best place to sit in an IMAX movie theater? I've only been to the one at the museum on elementary school field trips and the screen is like a giant dome.

Yeah, I was going to see IAL anyway, but there was no way I was driving almost two hours to see it in IMAX... now I am! :(

I think all IMAX screens are giant domes... that's the point right? Perhaps I'm wrong. Either way, your best viewing angle would probably come from slightly above or below the dead middle of the "stadium seating". Otherwise you'll find yourself craning your neck up or down the entire time to see the full screen.

Not all are. Those kind are ususally just in science centre etc. Movie theatre ones are flat, but gigantic.

Middle for sure

AHHHHH... I see. Thanks for the info! I've never been to the one I'm headed to before. It's a Cinemark IMAX in Tarentum, PA... It's the closest one that's playing it.

The TDK footage will probably be better than I Am Legend itself.

I have no knowledge of the source material so I can look at it objectively from that end. If all I get is a popcorn flick that keeps me entertained with action and FX, then money well spent. Even if I wasn't going expecting the prologue. This is such a weak holiday season for Hollywood that I'm just happy to see a movie.

70% so far for it on rottentomatoes. The only cream of crops so far are Variety and Hollywood reporter which give nearly all movies good reviews.

Weak holiday season you say! We're getting "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and "Sweeney Todd"! :yay:

I kinda want to see Sweeney Todd, but at the same time I've been starting to get burnt out on Burton's whole schtick.

Sweeny Todd is on my must see list. And Juno (looks hilarious).

and enchanted :ninja:

I think I'll wait for Sweeny to come out on DVD, looking forward to No Kingdom for Old Men, think thats out this month here

Yea I really want to see that as well. Urgh between movies and going out I'm going to go broke this Xmas

I bet "Alvin" will beat Spiderman's box-office record.

You're kidding, right? Beat Spiderman? Dude, Alvin has James Cameron shaking in his boots so hard right now that he's shelved Battle Angel and turned in a treament for "Hindenburg."

James Cameron's gonna make a movie?

Two actually. One is called Avatar, some stupid hippie sci-fi enviornmentalist flick not be confused with the Nickelodian cartoon some of you freaks watch. And Battle Angel, an adapation of one those cartoons where school girls get assaulted by tentacles that some of you freaks watch.
