Ever watch the NBC series Heroes? It was about ordinary people discovering they had extraordinary abilities. People from all walks of life, a hospice nurse in New York, an office worker in Japan, a cheerleader in Texas, a single mother in Nevada, a beat cop in LA. All their lives would intertwine and they would come together in the end to defeat the villains and save the world. Watch Season 1, it's fantastic. Greatest thing was how grounded he made everything.
He also did this type of thing in the Fox show called "Touch". In each episode, he somehow connects people from all across the globe.
Might be the type of writer this movie needs. Just think of how diverse the Justice League is. An incredibly powered alien from a distant planet, a princess from a different realm, a scientist that can run really fast, a martian from...oh you get the point. It's diverse, just like Heroes. Gonna need an incredible way to bring them together.
