Marvel Studios has promised The Incredible Hulk will restart the Hulk movie franchise with a more fun take on the material. Costar Tim Roth, who plays Abomination in the film, confirmed the fun.

"We've done some very cool things," said Roth. "I think it's going to be fun. I'm in my own world with this one so there's a lot of it I don't see what's going on. All I know is, as far as I'm concerned, this is some fun stuff going on."

Roth is privy to the transformation effects, but cannot share the details. "I'm still filming it. This is one for my boys. Pure, on set, all I'm asking is, 'Okay, this has got to be a cool shot for my kids, all right? Am I going to look cool in this shot?' It's truly about that for me, completely about that."

Even the Roth kids are skeptical about the new Hulk. "I'm treated with great suspicion. 'So, is it going to be cool, dad?' And you don't know because they're the worst critics of the lot. I could be ridiculed when I walk into school when I drop them off. You never know."

In Louis Leterrier's Incredible Hulk, Roth plays a KGB soldier named Emil Blonsky who turns into the superbeing Abomination, much like Bruce Banner (Ed Norton) becomes the Hulk. Unlike Banner, Abomination can't return to normal and seeks revenge for his condition. On the run from General "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt) and separated from his ladylove, Betty (Liv Tyler), Banner will have to face his nemesis in what's sure to be an epic showdown.

Incredible Hulk smash into theater June 13, 2008.

I like what Roth is saying, everything is looking good, please for the love of god give us a teaser!

This movie still has the potential to be the blockbuster the first movie could have been. Three factors:

1) Norton and Roth's acting will no doubt carry those major parts and most of the picture, they're pros at what they do

2) I really have no doubt that Leterrier's ability in directing action as well as emotional sequence's, he's awesome

3) and a smaller better looking Hulk, that looks more Hulkish and not Banaish.

As a Hulk fan for over 20 years, I still wish that the Hulk will speak more in this movie.:csad:

I can top that. I REALLY REALLY wish the Hulk talked more in the Movie.

I can live with him not talking, so long as he looks right. I like what Roth is saying, he's a great actor; even in 'Planet of the Apes'. His portrayal of General Thade carried the movie to me.

Even his kids are skeptical about the new Hulk movie, LOL! :D

I agree, I think that this is going to be a huge blockbuster next summer, everything that is being said about it is just awesome, Norton and Roth are both great, LL can direct very well, so maybe the general public is not as excited as us Hulk fans are right now, but let's just see how it all changes after the teaser, IMO I think people will be talking about it and wanting to see it as much as we all do.

I feel the same way. A good teaser will definitely peak interests.

Hey...since the Abomination is also a monster and would look silly talking...how are they going to pull off two mutes in the same movie?

After all, the audience would never be able to believe the Abomination talking, right?

Those are going to be some painful scenes when they are onscreen together. Maybe they can put some piano music in it like the old Buster Keaton movies.

Huh? I don't want them talking together while they're fighting. This is primal **** bud.

I'm not saying he should or shouldn't talk, all I am saying is what does he have to gain by talking, what point will it have if he talks (i am talking about green hulk)

From the script

Hulk: Grunt

Abomination: Growl

Hulk: Grunt Grunt

Abomination: Growl Growl Grunt

Hulk: Roar Growl grunt

Abomination: Grunt Growl Roar Growl Grunt grunt

Hulk: Oof, growlllllllllllllllll grunt roar

I agree, these two guys are fighting for survival and given the gravity of the situation, not talking is fine with me.

The last thing Marvel is gonna do is release a pic from this film with incomplete CGI. They did that last time with the first teaser...or Universal did anyways.

The speaking thing isn't an issue for me, but I agree with your 3 points. Great post.

Why would he look silly talking? Come on, with all the weird and strange-looking creatures that have talked in sci-fi/fantasy films for the past 30 years, you're telling me that this, a modern state of the art production, couldnt pull a talking Hulk and Abomination off as well, if not better?

Please. :whatever:

Sympathy from the audience. They'll relate to him a lot better if he can communicate his emotions thorough speech.
