That review that I typed up and posted last night after my midnight showing?

Take it and wipe your ass with it or something. Because it's useless.

It was a much better film upon second viewing than I originally gave it credit for. Viewing it a second time, the pacing wasn't as much of a problem at all.

Not as good as X2, but on par (and perhaps a slight edge over) X-Men.

You can say "I told you so" now...

u could have posted this in the review thread stupid

WOW... Honestly, I wasn't expecting this from you, Nell...

but yeah, the second viewing definitely feels different...

lol Nell you are a fickle guy. More proof x3 did just enough right and wrong to confuse the hell outta audiences ;)

LOL!!

That's OK. I think most people need to see it again to let the stress level go down a little.

Glad you liked it the second time!

I'm planning on seeing it again tomorrow morning...

Id make a "Id rather see my own funeral" joke but im a llittle sleepy

nice to see people are changing I loved it form first one though

But Nell.. dont you think you followed it more clearly a second time because you had the film in mind already? That happens to me too and i bet it will with x3 when i see it, but it doesnt mean the film did it right imo if i have to see it over to catch more pieces of story that fly by.

I don't know about useless. But I think a second viewing helps immensely. I honestly think a lot of us went in knowing what would happen and thought too much about "how will they do it", and not so much about "look what they're doing", in regards to acting, effects, camerawork, etc.

Absolutely.

Well, I posted a new review in the review thread.

I made this post because, well, I made my opinion pretty well known last night and earlier today, and I've even said some less than positive things about Kinberg and Penn.

And I think it's only fair that I face up to the mistake that I made...

Not that an opinion can be a mistake...

But my rash judgement of Kinberg and Penn was. My rash judgement of this film as a whole was.

I still don't like all of the creative decisions made (I.E. Cyclops' fate), but it's only fair that I give credit where credit is due.

Nell? Peoples povs change this way a lot you know on 2nd viewing...imo doesnt excuse reckless pacing.

I like the movie more now than I did 20 minutes ago...

weird...my mutant power seems to be indecisiveness

and erectile disfunction.

i don't think the pacing was reckless.
that might be taking it a bit too far.

having seen the film twice i can safely say i agree with Nell. although, i never thought there was much of a pacing problem the first time around...and i enjoyed it the first time around.

Well if some agree or not i believe the pacing is reckless even if i dont find it too bad when i see it... because its not about me or such... its about consensus. He couldve swept them all imo and gave everyone an even better film and chose not to according to reviews. That takes a special person lol

So i figure my reaction to this flick may very well be: "thumbs up.. but dont think i didnt notice the bad." *cue fakeout handshake. ;)

Nell, I always respect your opinion whether I agree with it or not!! You have a lot of passion and are always hoping for the best, and that is admirable!! :D

Glad to have ya back.

Yes, the second viewing is always better. I'd be pissed, too, if I went in and watch the movie on the first viewing with very high expectations. I just kept an open mind and low expectations and I enjoyed it.

Well i still think what i said about second viewing is still a possibility. people have said the runtime is horrendous.

I'm going to see it a second time now Nell found it better seeing it a second time. But i still want Bryan and his team to do a remake!

Well after my experience tonight, I can definatley stick to my "5 times straight" plan of seeing the midnight showing (check), opening day (check), showings after work on Saturday and Sunday, and then a showing for my birthday on Monday.

:)
