You're right. That's not the fault of the fans. It is, though, the fault of the fans for already drawing a conclusion and claiming that this will fail so hard based on some set photos. So yes, overreaction. Didn't see anyone drawing that conclusion with the actual photos of Robin, Hawk, and Dove. But then, it'd be pointless to tell the geek community to just calm their t*ts and wait.

Obviously they're not in full costume, people.

This.

Some of y’all need to relax. It’s one thing to comment on what you see, but quite another to assume context or intent. Wasn’t everyone so pleased with Robin, Hawk, and Dove?

Do you think there's any chance of Jinx appearing in this series? If they're going for a serious tone, I'm thinking maybe a cameo at most.

Even that terrible quality 00's era phone camera picture of Robin looks better than the decent quality pics of Starfire, Beastboy and Raven we saw two weeks ago.

They're really going all in! So hyped Donna Troy is going to be featured!

Starfire and Beastboy wigs scare me....

All 3 of those Starfire wigs are just atrocious. And not sure why Raven even needs a wig. Dye her hair black.

It requires less upkeep for the actress, she won't damage her hair and she wont have to sit for styling. They'll just need to put a wig cap on and put the wig on.

I may be wrong but dying your hair black/brown causes the least amount of damage and a lot of wigs on TV dont work because their cheap and flat. She isn't the guy who plays Archie who is dying his hair red which is a hard color to do apparently.

If Melissa Benoist can go from brunette to blond, she can certainly go black.

We don't know if those wigs are for Teagan and ryan for all we know they might be for their stunt doubles

Dying your hair does damage it slightly. Not as much as bleaching would but it does do a little bit of harm. It could also be because the actors or actress/their managers might not want them to dye their hair. Wigs allow for easy reshoots and for stunt doubles and stand-ins to use and for any sort of continuity.

Also, productions spend thousands of dollars on wigs. They don't go to PartyCity and buy wigs from there. They are all lace front wigs made from human hair. Most of the Avengers have them (Steve, Wanda, Widow and Thor to name a few). Elektra wore one in Daredevil. Don't watch many DC shows but I'm sure most of the shows have some wigs going on that you don't know of.

The main reason they use wigs is because it means the actors wont need to be on set so early, so they don't have to pay the actor for the hour or so theyd be sitting in a chair getting their hair styled. They just come in for makeup and then slip the wig on.

Speaking about Marvel, Inhumans' Medusa wig was terrible despite show having a big budget and a competent Netflix team behind the show.

Inhumans budget was never confirmed, so we cant say it was big. But if we are to judge based on the final product, it was LOW. Also, they had Iron Fists showrunner. Wouldnt exactly call the guy competent.

Yeah, Inhumans had bad wigs but it's also REALLY hard to make a long wig that's that color as who has human hair that long to donate? It'd have to be synthetic and that comes across as cheap looking most of the time.

It's a TV show folks. No matter how much they hype it or how much they tell you sfx for TV is "more affordable", the budget is still limited. Once they say TV show your expectations should be set accordingly. That doesn't mean it will be bad--but to expect motion picture quality from this or any comic book related TV show is setting ones self up for disappointment. Somewhere, somehow they are going to cut corners.

Factor in creative license.........
