I enjoyed it, overall. My kids loved it and that's about what you should expect from this movie. Without question, the best TMNT movie to date, IMO.
Goods: Action & CGI were very good. Turtle personalities were great representations of their cartoon counter parts. Megan Fox put in her best performance (please consider her past movies). Left the movie generally satisfied (entered not expecting much).
Bads: Splinter. Shredder's everything plus the kitchen sink, predator suit (a lot less would be a lot more here). Shredder/Sachs TASM plan. Vern's character annoyed me more than succeed with his intended comic relief. I know we're watching a movie with mutated ninja rats & turtles but I didn't like how the emotional link between the turtles/splinter & April were shoehorned into the story.
You've heard this a gazillion times with Bay movies: check your brain at the door and you'll enjoy it. It's true here, but I will admit I loved it compared to the last three TF movies by a longshot. I'm looking forward to a sequel.
5.5/10
