I disagree. The picture isn't clear enough. I see light reflecting on the suit material.

And you'd see it reflecting off of red if there were trunks....just like we see how vibrant the red of the cape and shield is in direct sunlight. We see (what looks to be) gold and blue...not a trace of red down there, with light clearly on enough of the waist to show it if there were.


No trunks.

well I'd say it's pretty damn clear that the trunks are gone. Anyone who thinks they see trunks or thinks that they could be there is doing nothing short but kidding themselves. I wanted to believe the trunks would be there but oh well...they aren't

How can I see what's going on the picture when it isn't clear? If it doesn't have the trunks, so be it, but to me the picture isn't clear enough.

I think this is a case of nostalgic feelings and the inability to come to the realization that something that has been on the character for so long is now gone. While everyone is entitled to opinion and speculation, its quite clear the trunks are now at the cleaners. In other words, on the checklist of things we didn't know about, this item has now been crossed out.

There are no trunks. Simple as that. There be darker blue around the crotch though to break it up a little.

The question should probably be, who do you think you are? Do you think you're above criticism? Everyone is telling you that something is obvious, because, well, it is obvious. Wow dude. I was defending your right to an opinion, while defending what--I thought--would be pretty CLEAR. Look at the red in the \S/ and cape. Then look down. If you see trunks...great. Otherwise, sorry if I offended you.

It's really about comparison...in particular...there is direct sunlight on his shoulders/torso, and a patch of direct light on his midsection. The same light reflects a vibrant red from his cape and shield,...but we don't see a trace of that on the midsection where we would see at least a strip of red if there were red trunks. So...unless the trunks are a very dull/dark shade of red completely different than that of the cape and shield....it only stands to reason that there are no red trunks.

I sure as heck don't see any red trunks. He may have some sorta trunks on, but they aren't red.
I see a silver-ish/copper color in that area.

I was being facetious there.....that's a pretty far reach to think they picked a an extremely dark/dull grey-ish ochre red for just the undies.
