is anyone else wondering why Ayelet Zurer is standing right next to Michael Shannon? She's played Lara....so shouldn't she be next to Jor-El (Russel)...and Anje should be next to Shannon....

Isn't there a rumor that the Jimmy Olsen of the film is actually being played by a female?

There was, but someone at CBM.com apparently discovered (through a WB insider or something) that Jenny Olsen, played by Rebecca Buller, will in fact be Jimmy Olsen's sister, and that Jimmy Olsen will be referenced somehow in the movie.

That's probably the first manip that I've seen where the trunks actually look pretty good on this suit.

New suit is bada$$, but for the "true to the comics" look that'd be dead on.

I guess it's the dark blue that isn't doing it for me. Having the same problem with the new set photos of TASM 2. If the blue was as bright as the manip, I'd love it. Just have to wait until I see it on screen. The vibrant blue makes it stand out. The dark blue in the MOS costume is a flip side of the maroon coloured cape and boots SR had. We'll never get the red and blue exactly like the comics anymore...

Get over the 70's, people! Seriously, it's getting old (as in, literally. Funny enough)
There's like a dozen of different interpretations of the superman suit in the comics. So Why shouldn't it get a 21'st century looking updated version on film then? No better time for it, when this is superman REborn! Superman has never looked more badass than how he looks in MOS. This is already classic. We should be thankful!

Batman's costume has evolved so many freaking times in movies and print. Never has bats wore underwear outside the pants since adam west in a film, so why can't superman be explored in other interpretations. He's still going to be the most recognizable superhero in the world. At the end of the day, he's an alien from another planet. The MOS suit seems to be the most alien looking yet, and thats a good thing. He shouldnt have a bright yellow familiar looking belt with red panties.

That's the point... It wouldn't have to start up again, if people would just Please let the damn trunks thing go. In the comics there's both versions of him with them AND without them. This go-around, he ain't_got_them. And it works for the best in these times... Even with this updated trunkless version, there's no where in the world where Cavill and his suit would not be instantly recognizable as superman. LOOK AT HIM! It's superman, no doubt about it. And again. He has never looked cooler. Still exstremely classic.

no one has to get over it or let it go or move on, as you would say. anyone has the right to voice their displeasure over the lack of trunks. Yes, there are many interpretations of Superman, and since there are so many different versions of Superman, who are you to tell another person to not like a certain interpretation? are they only allowed to like the ones YOU like? i say no.

i say get up off your "holier than thou" high horse, and let people have their own opinion, and let them voice their dislike. i dont like the fact that the trunks are not there. the suit is still incomplete without them, and it will always look bad, DC52 suit included, because to me, the older design is perfection, and nothing can top it.

so, all you you MoS suit lovers get over the fact that there are going to be people out there who dont like it. your voice will not silence them. you'll notice that no traditional loving suit person ever whines and complains about those who oogle over it, yet you're so eager to scream at those who disagree. get over it. live with the fact that all people are not like you.

awesome suit design designing those trunks were fun. the SR suit was the base for the trunks. wish we got that one instead.
