I've been following these boards since TDK days, but for some strange reason never signe up. Glad to be a part of it now! I have to say I haven't been this excited for a supehero movie ever. I love everything about it so far; the suit, the cast, the trailers, etc! I can't wait till we get more pics and the new trailer hits! I have a feeling this is going to be the movie all of us Superman fans have been waiting for...and I'm glad I can share my anticipation with others now! Can't wait till 12am June 14!

Yes, there are many interpretations of Superman, and since there are so many different versions of Superman, who are you to tell another person to not like a certain interpretation? are they only allowed to like the ones YOU like? i say no.

i say get up off your "holier than thou" high horse, and let people have their own opinion, and let them voice their dislike. i dont like the fact that the trunks are not there. the suit is still incomplete without them, and it will always look bad, DC52 suit included, because to me, the older design is perfection, and nothing can top it.

Stick to your guns! I like the new suit myself, but you have every right to disagree. On boards like this, there is always a rush to give unquestioning validation to whatever the new thing is, and people like you are necessary to prevent the prevalence of a all-conquering mono-opinion.

I was fine with the Reeve and Routh suits and I really like this one as well. I don't care why they got rid of the trunks but I'm glad they did because I felt that Supes needed a Batman style costume revision. I don't get why it's okay to change Batman's iconic costume but not Superman's?

But I'm not going to bash anyone for not liking the suit, although it is silly to keep harping on it at this point. The movie has already been shot.

the same thing could be said about the DC52 suit, but people still complain about that one as well... the only difference is the medium in which we see it.

People disliking the suit doesn't bother me. People being antagonistic with their opinion does.

It's the difference between saying - 'You know what, i'm really not that keen on the suit, I do wish they'd done it differently... but oh well, moving on' and saying 'You know what, it's an ABOMINATION and it's a slap in the face to true fans and I'm gonna hate on it and I dare anyone to tell me to stop!'

It's about how you express you're opinion.

im not here for political correctness, and i couldnt care less about what people think of me... now if you knew me and how i post, i actually DONT go around screaming at the top of my lungs at how terrible the suit is, or how loathsome it is (and i dont think it's utterly terrible or loathsome... there are really good things about it), and I dont mind people liking the suit at all- like i said, there are quite a few things i like about this suit, the symbol being one of them, earth 2 symbol is beyond awesomesauce - the only thing i DONT like is when people like Project862006, Kryptonian Warrior, ~.:/|T-MaN|\:.~, and Naite22 who have a screw up their butt every time someone doesnt agree with them... its people like that who think their opinion is better than anyone else and damn everyone else who thinks differently that i have a problem with, and i dont like it when those who dont like the suit do the same thing... kurosawa is a prime example.

all shazam did was post that picture in here because he likes the traditional design, and all the die-hard MOS fans (which i have no problem with) get their britches all twisted, and start to whine, gripe, and complain because someone thinks differently... now let me ask you this, hopefuldreamer: who was more immature?

I feel your pain on being in the minority on an issue here.

I think the marketing on the film has been pretty lousy and a lot of people don't like hearing that. I have stopped talking about the marketing because I did run the issue into the ground with my many rants and I'm trying to be chill about it now but I still think the marketing has been lousy.

Posting manips of MOS with the pants on them in this thread, where we are expecting to see offical photos or posters any day now, is bound to get people a bit frustrated with posters who so adamantly refuse to let go of the past they have to bring up the trunks out of context...
