I thought Routh had much potential. It was just certain decisions made by the director that stunted his abilities.

I've always been a fan of Routh. In fact I'm more of a fan of his personality than of his performance as Superman, although I think he did a decent job in SR. He did the best he could with his little experience and the script/ directions given to him by Singer and his minions. In his interviews, Routh never seemed anything less than a nice guy and a true Superman fan. As I've already seen someone say in these boards, he always carried himself as Superman off-screen. But Routh is the past. It's time for Henry Cavill now and I'm sure he will blow our minds. Heck, he is doing that already.
