Please no, this movie needs no connection to that show.

MOS is already at least partially influenced by Smallville, as was Birthright. Prior to the series, the Kents were always depicted older -- not anymore. There is also a reference to Erza Small in the MOS set pics. Erza was first mentioned on Smallville I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).
Nothing wrong with HC looking a little bit like TW though. Like I said before though, it's probably just that they have a similar physique and phenotype. Quite a few people on this board have mentioned the resemblance though.
I believe the Kents are generally always depicted as their age relative to Clark's age. Old Clark, older Kents. Younger Clark, younger Kents. Just so happens he was was young in Smallville, Birthright and this movie.MOS is already at least partially influenced by Smallville, as was Birthright. I'm glad you brought that up. I was thinking about that the other day. In Birthright, Mark Waid came up with the idea that Clark initially uses Jonathan Kent's huge, dingy glasses to dim the color of his eyes. In my opinion, though, posture is key. Ultimately, though, it comes down to suspension of belief. Having said that, I can't wait to see what Snyder comes up with -- if anything.

Now you got me wondering about this. But he doesn't have glasses in Smallville in Birthright, or For All Seasons. Or even Smallville (the tv show). It's not addressed that Smallville residents realise that their Clark Kent is Superman.
I'm pretty sure they will edit out the giant Plano water tower in the background..........t:
either that or it will become one of those movie blunders that fans love to search for and nitpick afterwards.........
but, seriously, I hope they do remove that........![]()
Agree. Smallville may have gave me a unsatisfied hunger for more finally but i still love it. And TMOS is going to be one epic movie.
Very low budget.

Was poking fun at someone earlier in the thread that claimed the Smallville shoot looked low budget.$175 million = chump change
