MOS is already at least partially influenced by Smallville, as was Birthright. Prior to the series, the Kents were always depicted older -- not anymore. There is also a reference to Erza Small in the MOS set pics. Erza was first mentioned on Smallville I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).

Nothing wrong with HC looking a little bit like TW though. Like I said before though, it's probably just that they have a similar physique and phenotype. Quite a few people on this board have mentioned the resemblance though.

Agree. Smallville may have gave me a unsatisfied hunger for more finally but i still love it. And TMOS is going to be one epic movie.

I believe the Kents are generally always depicted as their age relative to Clark's age. Old Clark, older Kents. Younger Clark, younger Kents. Just so happens he was was young in Smallville, Birthright and this movie.

I'm glad you brought that up. I was thinking about that the other day. In Birthright, Mark Waid came up with the idea that Clark initially uses Jonathan Kent's huge, dingy glasses to dim the color of his eyes. In my opinion, though, posture is key. Ultimately, though, it comes down to suspension of belief. Having said that, I can't wait to see what Snyder comes up with -- if anything.

I think that is exactly the way Clark Kent should carry himself. I've been saying he should get as big as possible since they cast Cavill because in a suit anyone can hide their build (even Arnold) and if he knows how to stand and has the right suit, he can even look chubby. That is the way Clark Kent should look.

In the Donner films, they were ancient even when Clark was in his teens. They often appeared older in the comics as well regardless of how young Clark was.

And MOS's Superman isn't meant to be that much younger than Reeve's Superman I think.

I actually read it somewhere official that Smallville was an influence on Birthright's younger Kents, btw.

Yup they were made younger from 1968 to the John Byrne reboot in the superboy comics serie.

Now you got me wondering about this. But he doesn't have glasses in Smallville in Birthright, or For All Seasons. Or even Smallville (the tv show). It's not addressed that Smallville residents realise that their Clark Kent is Superman.

I just checked in Earth One. He does not wear a disguise when he goes to interview with the Daily Planet and throws out the application. Then comes back with it filled out anyway and an article about Superman and he already looks completely different. Perry and Lois would never catch on?

I'm pretty sure they will edit out the giant Plano water tower in the background..........:woot:

either that or it will become one of those movie blunders that fans love to search for and nitpick afterwards.........:oldrazz:

but, seriously, I hope they do remove that........

The water tower is a mile away from the shoot. It just looks like it is closer due to the telephoto lens. They are not shooting the movie from this vantage point. This is just a sightline that he was able to get a photo at. It will look entirely different in the film.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Smallville because I accepted it for what it was -- a different take on the Superman legend, kind of like an Elseworlds or What If story. They really let all the fans down in the end though with that lame CGI nonsense.

MOS is different though. It needs to be more on par with mainstream continuity. If it takes too many liberties with certain details, that will be considered an epic fail.

Very good chance that figure can still go up.

Hmm there is something missing from this picture. SPOILER ALERT

Looks like we have planes & automobiles. Now all we need is another type of transportation to get thrown in the mix. What could it be??? I have seen it but I'm not spillin the beans :) Take some guesses and I'll tell you if you are on the right track.

We've had reports of a train wreck in Plano of some sort. If we have a super powered person standing in front of train bringing it to a halt, that would be awesome to watch.
