Exactly. It's not like anyone in the GA is going to cry that they can't see a JL movie because they don't know where WW got her bracelets from. :o

They can make a JL movie first using the five and then make a spin off prequel movie on Flash and WW.

That would be a mess if Cavill's Superman and the reboot Batman are staying confined to their own worlds.

And Justice League involves a different Superman, according to Snyder.

At this point, their best and only option is to do a self contained JL film. One that:

- reintroduces Hal/Green Lantern with a new actor and new approach
- introduces a new Superman and Batman that exist in a world together
- introduces Flash, WW, Aquaman and MM

And to spin off JL as it's own franchise of films, in it's own world... seperate from the Batman reboot and Man of Steel.

I would be fine with Batman, Superman and JL as seperate franchises. I don't think realistically a Flash or WW solo film will ever materialize at this point.

Totally agree

Tbh I don't think people give the GA enough credit thinking they'll be confused if they see two different Supermans in separate franchises at the same time personally I don't think it'l create any confusion.

Ideally, I would have loved a shared universe with DC, but Green Lantern burned that bridge.

It was supposed to test the water for Flash and WW films, and the end result wasn't good.

JLA is probably DC's best and last chance to bring the non-Batman/Superman A-listers to the screen.

Though, it would be annoying and unfortunate to get a third Superman after Routh and Cavill, but there's no way around that. Superman is like DC's Hulk.

A shared universe really isn't that important to me. A good story is a good story. Personally, I kinda hope a JL movie doesn't have any tied to anything else.

Most people seem way too obsessed with continuity and cohesion.

Not sure if this has been posted or not, but check out what HC sent to Gym Jones for the work he did during the shoot. What a Super-man HC is!.....

It's just going to get harder once Avengers becomes a proven success.

WB/DC has lost the battle. It isn't even a contest anymore.

That's not my point at all.

Stop trying to twist other people's words to further your own brainless rhetoric.

Marvel is the definitive brand for superhero films.

DC/WB will always have the Batman franchise, and (maybe) a Superman franchise depending on MoS' box office.

But Marvel has a film universe now. I'm loving these box office projections for Avengers. It's got the makings of something legendary.

The reality is that WB/DC will never have success at the same formula.

As much as I dislike most of everything from Marvel except for the X-Men, they are certainly doing things right

I wouldn't say what Marvel does is right, rather it just works for them.

What has WB/DC done to prove to you that they CAN have success at the same formula?

I could write you a 20 page essay on all their screwups.

I'm not saying they definitely can, nor that it could happen soon.

I'm just saying that making the assertion there will never be a time in the future in which they ARE capable of being just as successful, is ridiculous.

I'm skeptical they'll ever be capable and with good reason.

The studio is clueless as it's ever been. Aside from the Nolan stuff, there hasn't been much progress since the 1990s as far as fully realizing these characters and doing them justice.

Since Snyder discounted his films and Cavill as being part of Justice League, what about Benjamin Walker as the Justice League Superman?

He's 6'3, the right age and getting some good Hollywood buzz.

Check out the trailer:

Things change all the time in Hollywood and what Snyder said last year may not be true the next. Same goes for studio execs and the like. And who's to say Snyder will come back for a MOS sequel, if there is any? And who's to say, if hypothetically, Cavill get's rave reviews for his performances as Superman, and hypothetically WB decides to do JL, that they won't be smart enough to use Cavill as Superman. Anything else would be bad business. And don't get started with ´´Nolan this, Nolan that``, because he's only a producer on MOS, it is not his ´´baby`` as Batman is so I doubt he'd stand in the way of Cavill's Superman being shared in any possible JL universe. That being said, I highly doubt a JL will be done in the near future.

As for Benjamin Walker, no, just no. I've checked that trailer out and googled a bunch of his images. He has zero Superman quality in his face. And let's not start suggesting people to play Superman, we already have a Superman. And if MOS tanks, any chances of a JL movie will tank along with it.

See I think your wrong there if MOS tanks then WBs will be more likely to do a Justice League movie. Tbh I think if Avengers is a smash (which its probably going to be) then WBs will make a JL filmn regardless.
