the first trailer should be similar in length and reveals as the first inception trailer

the audience should be shown the characters and get the idea that it's a superman origin completely divorced from the previous movies, and see plenty of action shots, but they should have no idea what the main plot is

So there will be no mews untill july?

That better be the only Mew! It says no Mews, we're allowed to have one.

Spoke to someone this evening who is working on some of the effects for MoS. He said he has 2 deadlines. One for the trailer which is to be completed by the end of june and the other for the rest of the movie to be finished for the end of the year. Also my sister has a scene in the new movie too with some speaking lines. There wasn't much to tell though.

His music on this project would probably sound more like what he did with Alexander.

First of all, Vangelis is a legend in film scoring.

Second, I seriously doubt he's scoring this.

OK, as weird a choice as Vangelis would be... I must admit, I get a sense of excitement from the idea. Not necessarily Vangelis, but... Just someone unexpected. I suddenly have this notion that going with a composer that is more of an out-of-the-box, risky, alternative choice could be amazing.

It could end up being terrible, too, but I'm choosing to think positively here. I would hate for them to pick someone who gives a generic, bland, stock score.

I love the Bladerunner soundtrack but nothing in Vangelis' body of work suggests he is a good fit for MoS. He would be way too risky. I'll take safe this time around.

i hated that movie... couldn't stay awake. so BORING

You fell asleep during what is largely considered to be a seminal piece of sci-fi cinema?

Fair enough; to each their own, I guess.

Blade Runner's impact on cinema is strictly visual. Yes it looks amazing and its influence is all over the place. But in terms of the **** that matters to me (i.e. story, performances, etc.), it leaves a lot to be desired, a criticism not uncommon to Ridley Scott's work by and large, and a big point of contention on Prometheus.

This quote from Ferris Bueller's Day Off sums up Blade Runner perfectly. "It's like a museum. It's very cold, and very beautiful, and you're not allowed to touch anything."

Boring Si-Fi movie ? For me it was Dune, could never watch it completely in one go, I always fell asleep.

Blade Runner's influence is more than visual, although the visuals play a big part. For me, that movie made me wonder what is life, what it means to be human and do machines have souls?

It's more than pretty pictures. Like one critic said, you could write dozens of essays and dissertations about the various themes in BR, and barely scratch the surface. If a movie can make you think and discuss the themes long afterward, then it's done its job.

Those themes have been explored before Blade Runner.

Holy S***!
Dune wore me out.

It was like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube, it's a tedious and overall tiresome process, and even if you get through it you still don't feel like you've accomplished anything.

Blade Runner however, a masterpiece IMO.
But that might be the Philip K. Dick fan in me talking.
