Soooo Geekn right now! lol This is really really well done. So proud to show this to friends and family as a Superman fan. It's been like that since day one of MOS. I've never had this as a Supes fan. Esp after 2006. I've always just wanted to keep it to myself out of sheer embarrassment. Enjoying all of this so far. This must be what it's like to be a Batman fan. Haha

Man the artwork is beautiful. I hope there's a character poster like this in the marketing.

That artwork is great isn't it. It's awesome that we are finally getting something new each week. That will at least make these next four months a little more bearable ;)

not just each week but it seems like every other day something comes out, an interview, a photo, a toy...something! And I think these next few months are gonna be easy peasy!!!

Only 134 more days... I can't believe it. Snyder was hired as director in October 2010!

That's when I started following this movie, it's kind of surreal we're this close.

I started following it when they said they were not doing a sequel to Superman Returns and they were going to reboot the franchise. I was very disappointed because I am one of the few that enjoyed that movie. I didn't think that a reboot would be such a good idea...but from what I've seen of Man of Steel, boy was I wrong!

Honestly, after seeing the MOS suit so much lately... I thought seeing trunks was really off-putting and weird in the comic the other day.

Seeing the new marketing artwork makes me hope that the calendar for 2014 has these pictures, sure it would be cool to have a calendar with movie pics but that artwork would just look so much better hanging on my wall.

I don't recall when. Yep the above drawing is all Swan. Either, the receding hairline wasn't too obvious as in the previous incarnation, or maybe my memory is playing trick on me. I do not have access to my old comic collection as they're all boxed away in the my old home, so I could refresh my recollection at the moment..
When Swan started on Superman in the 50's I think he was modeling Supes on the George Reeves incarnation but by the early 70's Swan would gradually make Superman's hair more fuller and youthful especially in the 80's.

The art is excellent. It's my favourite aesthetic by far. Superman looks lean, powerful and modern, but still classic.

Superman has NEVER looked this badass on film before - and he will never look any more badass then this! For the first time, this Man of Steel actually looks as badass and cool as batman.

Huh; i wasn't aware that we had somewhat higher resolutions of these pictures available. Either that or someone was able to really magnify these pictures while still preserving its quality:

Now, I want a pic of Superman smiling a bit.

You have no idea how it feels to be a Green Lantern fan.

It's from the digital ipad issue of Empire magazine.

Love it, especially the hair. Not so gelled back, and more wilder looking like Jim Lee's Superman.

My sentiments exactly. Love it! Jim Lee's Superman is my all time favorite and I've had the same avatar of one of his illustrations since way back when SR was being made. I kept it when became a member here until I saw this magnificent merchandise work of art. :wow:

I want MORE new photos! I want it all!!!!!!

Even more badass considering Superman doesn't hide his face. He's all truth and he means business!

The facial part definitely resembles the Jim Lee pic below, especially the cheekbones and hair................ whilst the body pose is very typical Superman floating/flying. It's a great pic though and definitely hints at a more action packed Superman film than we've seen before. It's also nice to see that they're taking obvious inspiration from (and thus paying homage to) the source material.

Definitely. That face is totally a Jim Lee angle.
