Well, it certainly seems like Wells is indeed Eobard Thawne and he didn't kill Eddie because he's a descendant of him. It really stuck out how he emphasized "Thawne" when he spoke to him during the RF's attack.
Still, there are some questions left to answer. RF and Wells appearing together simultaneously isn't that hard to pull off, since RF is clearly a time traveler. I do think it's strange though that we didn't actually see Wells in the suit, if he is indeed RF. I mean, why not just show it instead of showing him having the suit in the ring? Might be nothing but I still wonder if there is something else we don't know yet.
Also, what was that metal brace thing he put on the suit? Anyone have any ideas there? Maybe it was something we've seen in another episode that I missed?
If they are sticking to the comics on this... if I recall correctly, Thawne gained his powers by putting on Barry's old costume, which retained his powers somehow. Perhaps then, the RF suit is Barry's old costume, which remained after Barry vanished in 2024. This is what happened in the comics; Barry Allen died in COIE, but his costume remained and Wally took up the mantle. They've been making it look like Wells is trying to keep the Flash from disappearing 10 years in the future... but perhaps he's trying to make sure the future stays intact so that he gets his hands on that suit. The scene at the end might be a clue to this, since the suit itself appears to be the source of Wells' power (hence the reason why he apparently only moves at light speed when wearing it... though that wouldn't explain how he can alter his voice like Barry can).
Interesting that there were apparently two Flashes present during Barry's mother's death. Was this a future version of Barry (perhaps one that's transformed into a being of pure energy following the "crisis") or might this be another Flash? Maybe Jay Garrick or Wally West will appear?
