Tom Hiddleston?

I have always wondered... why are Reverse Flash's eyes red? Always red. Why?

I like the new dynamic of the audience (us) knowing that Wells is RF but the team does not know. Wells' dialogue carries even more weight now.

You barely see that yellow lightning in Barry's eyes, and very rarely. RF's eyes are awlays FULL RED.

He's also faster, more experienced, and hasn't been shown not using his powers in the suit yet.

And he probably does it on purpose to look more menacing. I'm sure when we see him again his eyes won't ALWAYS be red.

It's to make him look more distinct and noticeably menacing than The Flash. That's been the "real world" explanation since the creation of Zoom (Hunter Zolomon) about 15 years ago.

The real question is [sarcasm]how come their boots don't have any shoelaces?[/sarcasm]

Tom Cavanagh was having an absolute blast in tonight's episode making subtle nods to his own alter-ego.

It was also crazy awesome to see him nearly blow his own cover on two different occasions.

I caught the one where he almost rescued Flash from the drone. What was the other?

I think its great the way the writers are taking their time to develop Wells/RF, great to see such an iconic villain get his due - can't wait for the final reveal.
I suspect the character will end up being a pastiche of Reverse Flash and Zoom, but who cares? As long as he's interesting and entertaining, and a credible menace, then that's all that matters to me. And so far he's all those things.

Cause tripping over your shoelace doing mach 1 would really hurt?

^ I was being sarcastic.

Nobody does. Superhero adaptations pull off these character amalgamations all the time. It's all about the execution.

Tru dat ! And so far Wells has been executed very nicely. I think sticking to canon too much can be a mistake.

Dudes, check this out ! I think it pretty clearly shows that Wells is the RF,
as he is standing, turns and speeds away. Yes, some might still argue this is
not absolutely conclusive, but I think it's pretty persuasive.

Man, I am so looking forward to the big reveal. Cavanaugh is going to KILL IT !

The next few episodes are definitely gonna be awesome as far as RF is concerned.

OMG
I think I know who Harrison really is.

He may be Barry's biological father.
He told joe his wife died shortly before he showed up.
There's a twist coming no one has foreseen
This may be it

No bigger a twist than comic book Iris being from 30thcentury

May be a Zoom delusion, but could be??

That'd be.... Interesting

Ah man, I was gonna try and guess what the **** is up with Wells, but screw it. I've got no idea. Gonna wait.

Interesting storyline, though. I'm hooked.

Wells/RF is not at full power, it comes and goes. His real reason for pushing Barry to get faster and faster is because he needs to tap into Barry's speed force in order to regain his full power and/or travel back to his own time. He adopted the name and life of "Harrison Wells" because he's stuck in this time, probably ever since killing Barry's mom.

Well, at least now we know why Wells didn't simply kill the meta human, that had possessed electrical powers, himself and why he needed to release one of the meta prisoners.

So is Wells in any legal trouble now? He just admitted on TV that he knew the particle accelerator may not have been safe, a fact about which he probably lied to federal investigators.

I was wondering that. too. That kind of thing is quite a serious deal, just the kind of thing that federal prosecutors would be all over.

Yeah, I would think that he would be in a s***load of trouble over that. I hope they don't just gloss over it, but unfortunately, I suspect that they will.

Still, this was a great episode and I guess Wells IS actually paralyzed some of the time? Or was there some other reason why he fell over in the hallway and couldn't get up?
